@@simpleusername1820 oh god how to summarise this Wimbledon FC were a team that had played in Wimbledon for a century, mostly non league until the 1980's when they found surprising success and won the FA cup against Liverpool in 1988. Through a mix of financial mismanagement, repercussions of the Taylor Report (mandated seating in stadiums) and general fuckery, the club were 'franchised' and relocated to Milton Keynes. The anger towards the MK club is the effective purchasing of a league place instead of working their way up through the leagues, as well as claiming the history of the original club (which they have since distanced themselves from, and returned all silverware to the London borough of Merton) Whilst it's silly to hate Dele Alli for coming through the youth academy of his local team, I still just hate him for playing for MK.
