The Loop is a great drive. Parts of it look so primitive. When our oldest grandson was little we told him to look for dinosaurs in the trees. If you happen to be in Ormond Beach around Christmas, the Casements is a good place to visit to see all the decorations and lights.

The Ormond Loop was perfect for smoking a left-hander on the way back to the office in D.B. after doing service calls in Palm Coast all day. And the skunk ape was actually my ex-wife.

Avenue of the Giants is a magnificent place to camp and hike . My ex and I camped there for a week and the only thing we saw or heard were the bull elk that called the campground area home and a cougar scream one night . Never got to see any ghostly figures or Bigfoot whooping or tree knocking but it was still worth the visit .

@@FrightNightScares Hmm, my brother and I saw some slightly uncanny old man in a white overall walking along a forest road a few years ago. Close to midnight and he didn't use a flashlight, but seemed quite determined in where he was going. Nothing paranormal I guess, unless you count the spirituous beverages he had probably had.
