Sky News host Andrew Bolt says it’s already the “most humiliating week” for the “dangerously incompetent” Albanese government as they tried to rush new detainee laws through parliament.
“It's got so bad today that Home Affairs Minister Clare O'Neil today twice literally fled from journalists in Parliament House who were trying to ask her just to explain the latest cock-up,” Mr Bolt said.
Mr Bolt said today was a “total clown show” from the government.
“In short, the government has freaked.
“The government has already been caned for being totally unprepared last year when the High Court ruled it couldn't keep foreign criminals in detention indefinitely if it couldn't send them home.”
"The result, the government released 149 foreign detainees, many of them criminals, without initially having any system to check where they were or to control their moments."

@@David_Beames most obviously soaring immigration that has been the highest on record. The government needs to look after its own ppl first and foremost. They say there are shortages for tradespersons (builders) there’s no excuses give young ppl the incentives or have programs that get job seekers into these fields and instead of long training periods which are pathetic (I know I’ve been there) ,compact it accordingly. If you’re fortunate to be in the higher earning brackets then these issues don’t affect you but housing affordability is a real concern for the middle and lower class who make up for the majority of the population.
