11:18 - Don't overprepare. - Come up with stories that can be used for multiple questions. 12:13 - Be a fluent speaker of the language. - Speak like a human with a personality. (Likeable real person, someone I want to spend 3 hours with this person in an airport). - Speak professionally, focus on the vital parts. - Actually a leader/ actually live our values? 15:31 Blowing out by: - Focusing too much on tests. - Painfully arrogant/ painfully nervous. (DON'T MEMORIZE ANSWERS) - Blabbering. (Don't share too many details) - Get caught exaggerating on resume, "we" vs "I", no clue about school's culture (supportive + collaborative + humility), no self reflection. 24:30 What to do: - Watch TV/ YT to get better at English. - Practice having conversations with people you don't know that well. - Think in advance what information is the most important to convey. - Focus on EQ factors. "What if you were not there, how would the project be different?" 32:44 Can you think on your feet? 33:38 What was your second greatest accomplishment? What accomplishments are other people proud of, that you're not proud of? 36:20 Buckets: One bucket can paint multiple pictures. "A story where I convinced someone..." - Can you give me an example of your teamwork skills? - Tell me about the time you worked with a difficult person. - What's your greatest accomplishment? (Tie it with leadership skills, not just numbers). 38:33 My future, Leadership, Empathy (inclusivity), Maturity buckets. "What kinds of people annoy you?"

Maria, If all interviewers were as conversationally inviting as you are, I don't believe anyone would ever have a problem! In my experience people from a position of power already have a kind of menacing aura (at least in a candidate's mind) and some interviewers really don't help this by being overly critical and worse, showing the criticality to the candidate! The candidate is left with his spiraling mind going on a fritz, not being able to come to terms with a fumble and in turn just going deeper in the hole!

While I definitely appreciate the time and effort you put into this video, I found it a bit unfocused. Had you stuck to the topics at hand and not went on so many tangents, the video could have been shorter and more useful

Maria usually goes into great detail while explaining; Some viewers may find it distracting but most like this approach. Anyway, thanks for watching and sorry that it couldn't help you much.
