I bought a Super Glide for exactly the same reasons - 6’ tall, 180lb’s and it fits me perfectly, and I don’t have to worry about computers and electronics. Simple CV carb, 88ci, sounds amazing, old school HD feel. Best bike I’ve ever owned

FXDX, FXDXT, and the FXDP have a cult following. Only Dyna's with a 28° rakes are those models. I describe the feeling of riding my FXDX as driving a 70 Chevelle SS. It feels cool, feels fast, sounds mean, it has it's own personality but it's not really fast campared to other cars, it's more of an experience.

Once you get used to the harley, youll be thankful you kept the bolt. It really feels good to jump on something you know you wont mind messing up. I didn't realize how much id appreciate it until i got my Himalayan. Ive already put that thing down twice. And it feels great to not care! Im sure i dont have to warn you, but im gonna warn you! However careful you think you are in the rain, be twice as careful with that dyna. That back tire will break loose so fast, you wont even realize it happened.

I know this is a year old, but by sny chance you know/remember what size risers thise were? Im 6' also and im looking at the same risers with theor mid bend bars, i just dont know which risers to get. I want my arms about armpit level and was thinking the 9.5" risers with mud bends.

As a previous owner of 1999 FXDX, You need to change that seat and get a solo seat, way cooler looking and much more comfortable. I bought mine new from the dealer in 99 and I do mis sit.

Love them old dynas, I also like the analogy of a rocket with cables. Those early 2000's twin cams are tanks.

Personaly.. I'd better have 4-5 grand of extras into a bolt, to make it awsome, than ride a harley. It's a great bike, great! But, thug style Bolt never breaks, looks underground and lots more. 👍

That’s exactly why I am keeping both. One to leak on my driveway, and the other I can drop in a parking lot hahaha
