Criminal justice jobs are in demand. A criminal justice degree prepares students for rewarding careers in law enforcement and corrections. This video outlines some criminal justice jobs including police officer and detective, and the median salary for each.
Students studying criminal justice typically learn crime scene investigation, ethics, laws and criminal justice administration. I don't know why the occupation of a Detective is always listed; being a Detective requires years of previous law enforcement experience.

I get straight A's in school. One of the smartest in my school, the teachers expect me to become a Surgeon or Lawyer, but I feel like my true passion is to become a police officer, but the only problem is that my friends, family, and everyone around me thinks that jobs are only for stupid people, and now I ended up in med school, and I absolutely hate it, regret ever going to med school. UGHHHHH

Remember your family and friends are not the ones that are sitting in class with you and doing the work. This is your lesson that living by the desires of others will sometimes take you down a road you aren't intrigued with. I say now that you have made it this far continue med school to see where it takes you. Everything happens for a reason so try to stay positive about med school.

Just apply for police officer agencies and see how far you go. If its meant to be its meant to be. Most agencies don't require a degree.

rayan abu omar are they going to do your job or are you? If they’re going to do your job and be happy then so be it and tell them to go to school. But it’s your life and you shouldn’t be chained to something you don’t like doing with a passion. Go do what you want to do and live a happy life doing what you love.
