Sharks are just another group of water-dwelling organisms that spout the fish-like body form but they are only very distantly related to the ray-finned fish (like bass, catfish, tuna, seahorses, and thousands more). In fact, and here's the shocker, a ray-finned fish like a goldfish is actually much more closely related to you and me than it is to a shark!
