that's not how the body works. if u workout intensely, make a bunch of progress, then the way u workout has less intensity and is less optimal, that doesn't mean you'll get out of shape lmao, it just means you slow down progress. ur body is so good at retaining fitness that even half an hour of cardio work once every few days and only 3 sets of every muscle group a WEEK would RETAIN your strength, mass, and cardio. plenty of studies proving this the fact mike still trained very intensely means he still made tons and tons of gains and athleticism
