If you think I forgot a band that will probably appear on this top, please let me know in a comment and in a future update I will try to add it.
As a measure of popularity, the Google trends values of the band were used.
Unfortunately, the data that Google's search engine offers is not the number of searches of the specific term, but a graph from 0 to 100 where 100 represents the maximum search point of that term in the specified time, for this reason the values in the video are represented as percentages, since they are a percentage with respect to an arbitrarily selected reference point of 100.

I became a BTS fan in 2015-2016 period, so it’s really interesting to compare my experience of BTS’s rise with fame with this data. I think that what the majority of people don’t realise is that BTS didn’t become a sensation over night, the fans really pushed for BTS’s success for many years. I still remember telling my brother that one day BTS will take over the world, and he didn’t believe me. After so much work from BTS and Army, Im very proud to say that WE MADE IT!

I feel the same! Even when I knew them in 2017, I feel confused seeing this, I thought in that time they were the most famous band, but that was just the begining... obviously a lot of people didn't know about them yet but I feel I knew them exactly in that year they were becoming famous but in another level.

I agree. I also found them because of my friends in the beginning of 2016 and watching them getting famous was amazing. It is till amazing and I feel so happy that they reached that dream😭💜 I even remember how I told my friend that one day they will be big and here we got the whole proof.

Bts without white previlage, being discriminated many times, with hateful comments about their appearance and came from a poor company. They got to the top with hard work, perseverance and not being part of the big3 in South Korea, thats amazing 🔥 They went to LA around 2014, and they gave free tickets for their concerts in the streets. Their messages in their songs, their versatility in the discography, their albums that are based on books, their humbleness and much love that they have with their fans, their sincerity, and more made BTS not your typical boy band. They are real artists who get involved in producing and writing their own songs. The 3 rappers have their own free mixtapes, made by themselves. They create art and their discography is very versatile.

The fact that I've literally listened to all of this bands lmao. From Metallica to evanescence to Linkin park to beatles to ABBA to Paramore to Coldplay to EXO to Girls Generation to BTS. (Each of them are a different style). All of these bands are incredibly talented. My favorite of all time is Evanescence, but of the past few years, BTS is my new favorite!

Many people overlooked BTS' music and lyrics just because it's Korean. They don't know that the band have so much relatable and inspirational songs, especially for the youth in this generation. If they would just learn to stop being racist and start considering BTS' influence and their works, they would know how much of an eye-opener and a life saver BTS is. Edit: Okay, my bad, I'm not generalizing everyone. Sure, some people who don't like BTS aren't racists and just simply don't like them. I'm talking about those people who are one. I'm proud of BTS who started from a small company and has touched millions of hearts with their songs. I also grew up listening to western songs which I can't remember 99.9% anymore, they just come and go. I'm an ARMY since 2014 and their songs will forever be etched in my soul. The lyrics are very meaningful ❤

BTS literally went to the top around the time in October 2016 when the "Wings" album was released. And all the more sky-rocketed mid-2017 as they were invited to the BillBoard Music Awards and won Top Social Artist for the first time as the former holder of that award was Justin Beiber. Really cool to see how much theyve exploded. Ngl I was really happy to see Blackpink follow too, and as well as Shinee, GOT7, EXO, Super Junior, TWICE, and especially Girl's Generation to appear. Really props to them 👏👏👏

The Beatles are not a boy band. A boy band has either three or five members. Never four. Boy bands also don't play insturments, they just sing and dance. The Beatles have four members, they play insturments, and they don't dance while they sing. The Beatles are a legendary rock/pop band.

There was a lot of tough competition, example 1D, though they disbanded very early😭( but still, their songs were always popular), exo, bigbang, Infinite and many other boy bands during their early debut years. But the fact they they persevered, tried their best even though they had almost disbanded, and their hardwork Is enough for me to earn my respect( even before i was ARMY).

Not a fan of BTS but I’m still amaze how this group manage to outsold all bands on the chart without WHITE privileged and only speak different language. As an asian myself i am beyond proud on BTS for being this successful and having the most dedicated and biggest FANDOM in history. Just wow BTS continuously proves that MUSIC transcends languages.

So it wouldn't be that easy taking that over.And everyone says BTS has taken over 1D but they were not even together when BTS started getting recognition. Being an Army I feel the need to say this, we Armys as a fandom love our boys as much as One Directioners do and I'm a Directioner myself!! Both the fandoms can be equally toxic when it comes to their idols but I'm pretty sure that Armys respect 1D a lot and apologies if the fandom went too much. I am both a hard core directioner and a hard core army. I saw one direction for the first time on the x factor when I was 11 and I saw bts for the first time at a friends party when I was 14. I have been in both fandoms for the longest time (I'm 22 now btw),and from what I have observed there are toxic people in both fandoms. One direction were amazing when they were together, dominated the world and from what has come out about the behind the scenes of it all they had a really hard time of it. But no one can deny the grind and hustle the BTS boys put in to be the world class act they are now. Yes they are both "boy bands" but they are both very different in their own ways and I'd say they would agree with that. One direction and BTS don't hate each other, probably don't know each other or if any of the 1D boys have interacted with them they were probably really friendly to each other. It is really frustrating to see people from both fandoms fight and be toxic when each group have promoted both acceptance and peace. Hell Harry's slogan is Treat People With Kindness for God's sake. As someone who has observed this toxicity it is really disheartening and it has quite frankly made me want to not interact with anyone in either fandoms. And before anybody says that not everyone is toxic, unfortunately the people who scream the loudest on social media tend to be seen the most. Both fandoms have done amazing wonderful things to spread positivity but on my own personal feeds a lot of what I see is negative on both sides.....I just wish people would stop fighting and being negative....

Wow stray kids are the youngest and only 4th gen artist to appear in the whole list. 😀 Really... they grew a lot in these three years. I hope they keep growing making their own music. Everybody talking about 1D and BTS which I understand as they are the popular ones now and many people seeing this video are fans but their data in here is nothing considering what you can see on The Beatles keeping in mind they are from 50 years ago... I mean, I really doubt 1D or BTS would keep on top in 2060.

Beatles : tho the members are very old, they still have an impact on this generation 1D : been on an hiatus for so long but the fans still continue to love them BTS: tho they're Korean and young, they do have a ,arge fanbase
