For all the people complaining about the lifts and throws, pretty sure it's their "house rules" and they allow it cuz it's more fun and makes it harder for defense, since defense has the edge now with the smaller court. It's obvious these guys have ball handling skills and can play just fine with regular indoor/outdoor rules if they needed to.

@@doublesonly4 Yeah it definitely does work to say you're mixed, but 9man only evolved because white people wouldn't play with asians. Until 9man wants white people in as a whole community, probably best to stay out of it. That being said, super fun to practice 9man with the guys and I'm sure they can find teams to play with.

That's a KOB - King of the Beach volleyball. I like them more than the AVP, less floaty haha, but they are getting pushed out unfortunately. Their fault. AVP Wilsons taking over

You cant hold/shove the ball down in volleyball like how they are in this game right? Still seems kinda too OP for this game if its in the rules that you CAN do it lol

No, you can’t. They’re throwing every play. They’d get whistled constantly, they’re also serve receiving overhand which is fine in indoor but illegal in beach. I’m not sure in grass though.

You can in beach as long as the ball doesn't rotate / or only in your shoulder axis (where you are facing) when leaving your hands

You're allowed to serve receive with finger action in beach, it just has to be clean, which is incredibly hard to do, so most people (even the pros) don't do it.

So I think they have allowed that on purpose. Otherwise, with their skill the only way to score would be by hitting of the block. Any standard tip would be defendable due to the size of the court. It would take too long score. You could probably play normal rules as great training for ball control.
