Love the scorpion gameplay, I’ve been running double scorpion and I’m liking it , but with no starting overhead low I feel like I should just switch off to someone else with more block pressure and mixups, idk just seems like I have to try extra hard to open people up when people just d1 mash past all my highs, love the vids ❤

Really, u dont have to find the perfect match. Just have fun with them and find the one or ones your comfortable playing. I use mostly cryax, sektor, scorpion and subzero, and sometimes Kung lao. I dont use the others

I am glad you got Cyrax and play more solid but nowhere near boring gameplay (repeat spin to death ;) ). Really impressive I will steal your tech if do not mind. :) Without that much tech I saw my Scorpion boring too but this is different!

His aerial combos looks very cool but he doesn't have cool combos on the ground,,which i find it a bit sad😢...also he should've had at least one overhead combo starter or a low starter

@@bigpapacheese7146 I'd rather Scorpion receive the Sub treatment than remain the way he is now. Dude has terrible block pressure. It doesn't need to be the best, but it should be something, anything. A low or overhead combo starter plz. Just to make him more viable.

You have any korner kombos ? I'm doing good kombos mid screen but korner kombo seems tricky and low dmg. Couldn't decide what kameo to main. Jax air grab good but other moves messy. Sareena is easy and allow me to do fatal blows for max dmg in the heat of moment and have some full screen projectile presence since i always have to zone my opponent. Scorp's close up game not good. Scorp kameo gives overhead but it's gimmicky and easy to react imo. I use it to reset my combos cheeky. Kombo damage is also good with scorp and gives access to b3 kombo. Spear pull also have 2 armor i think not bad but not reliable. Cyrax seems to be best but i hate it and i think they will nerf it.

@AVirk-13 Do you find Cyrax to be more consistent/higher damage than the Scorpion combo? I can find it a but clunky sometimes, but that's probably just me.

Avirk is the best but scorpion needs to be able to compete in PRO level competitions and if NRS doesnt give him any buff to be able to compete at that level, Scorpion will stay as a MID character at best unfortunately.

Hey. I'm not sure if you'll see this, but I'm wondering if you can advise on the input setups. I haven't played a fighting game in a very long time and there are a few things I'm not sujre about because they're new. Release, input (short, medium, long), and then the function that seems to help complete moves by making the input less precise. What I press doesn't always seem to translate into what it's supposed to and I'm trying to figure out why that is.

Input time is how strict or long you have to input a special move. For example down back X as a special move. Long means you have more time to hit dbx. I play on medium but it’s personal preference. Also make sure to have release check off

Dude - as a scorpion player, I don’t understand how your games aren’t a pokefest. Everyone keeps poke mashing me whenever I try to get in and whiff punishing is so hard for lack of a good mid - my only response is to back dash and b3 them. How do I get an opponent to respect me rather than fearlessly poke me? I also play with cyrax

@@ACE-dw6ol 21 doesn’t jail, 12 does, but still, if I’m trying to get in, then they’re poking with their d3 which is already putting me at a distance where even if my d3 hits, the 12 won’t reach to jail.

I feel your pain. After many matches I was developing better spacing and fundamentals to the point I would condition my opponent so I can bait them into my combos. Still have my poke-fests, but I can actually do combos now.

Scorpion is not meant to play up close. You have to space out pokes and whiff punish them with 21. The second hit from the string is mid and can then be linked to a combo starter. Besides that you have to rely on your pokes up close and then jail into your highs.
