decluttering is so important and really trendy. But to get all the benefits of decluttering, like peace of mind, more space, more time, more money, and less anxiety, you need to do it right, and I see many people get it wrong... So today I wanted to show you how to declutter in a way that is aligned with the spirit of minimalism, to reap all its benefits!

I relate to what you said in this video so much ! A few months ago I began to declutter my closet and life as I was feeling overwhelmed, but then came a vicious cycle of buying new things… but I try to picture the life I want, a clutter-free life. Since January, I’ve been declutterring my closet and home again, but one item at a time so that I won’t regret it and repurchase it again later haha, so far so good ! I’m downsizing my wardrobe and not buying anything new, I love how much free time I gained 🥰. I think less and less each day about purchases, as if consumerism was leaving my body, and I love it.

Just found your channel and subbed immediately. I totally agree with you. So many people declutter and then go out and buy a bunch of new stuff. I think there's a difference between aesthetic minimalism and minimalism as a lifestyle. The former is owning less stuff in the moment, having 'clean' countertops and 'looking' very minimal. The latter is thoughtful consumerism and feeling at peace with what you own and not always on the hunt for something more, something new.

Interesting and insightful thoughts💭 I agree. Decluttering is more associated with consumerism than minimalism. Your video really helped me who want to try minimal living but struggling with the decluttering process because most minimalist videos are only aesthetic, while some of stuff I own is necessary but not aesthetic at all, and those videos make me want to purchase more things rather than be enough. I'm going to remind myself more why I want to live a minimalist lifestyle in the first place: "Downsize my belongings and be intentional with my life." And I also care about the planet 🌏 Thank you! appreciated your video.

Decluttering I find can be a rabbit hole. Because in fact, as you said you'll have more space to fill again and the cycle remains. Also, excessive decluttering will fill the environment with all the things you took away from your space. So, I believe we must be calmer when deciding to declutter. Where is all that stuff going to? You explained this subject in a very clear way. I honestly love being a maximalist, but I'm earning to be intentional, and yes, donate a few of my things, and most of all, not buy at all. As for items that are not worn, or that were worn very few times, I Choose to find creative ways to include them in my everyday life, as to feel them as new and fresh. Putting them away would be just apparently right, but that would leave me with the same style forever and ever. If I bought it, I did it for a reason, so what I do is relive that reason, and wear the item. I'm not sure if what I'm saying makes any sense to you. I just wanted to share it. Thanks a lot. all the best.
