This is fun to watch. I grew up fishing Cypress Creek and Spring Creek a little to the north, and a lot of the neighborhood retention ponds. There's some BIG fish in those urban and suburban creeks.

So in a deep area your lower current is going to be faster than your higher current. Because your lower current is going down deep really fast. Especially on a cliffed area where it goes straight down it's going to double the speed and it will come back up at the same speed.
