Also something to mention, in 2007 a lot of people were still using CRT'S and playing games at a lot lower resolution like 800x600. On my retro setup with my CRT, I always use 800x600 because it still looks great on these old monitors. Good work, --from another small tech channel ;)

Cheers mate, someone else already commented about the 1080p thing, I know I had a 1080p monitor by that point though as I had already bought one with my PS3 that year. I'm guessing most people that would of bought a PC like this would probably have a pretty good monitor to go with it, but, yes, I realize not everyone would of had one. I think it would of been a bit rubbish testing a £2500 computer out at 800 by 600 though

@@DumpzterfireGaming I suppose, in 2007 a CRT Monitor was the best you could get CRT monitors are insanely good compared to early LCD displays still great today for gaming you can get up to 500hz and on monitors you find free on the side of road, besides size and weight a 1080p CRT monitor is better then a 1080 LCD there is a technogly built into video drivers even on modern computers, that allows a 800x600 game to look just as good as a high resolution. no noise, flickering, great quality,brightness,colors they share similar properties to a OLED. And if I could find a good HDCRT near me I would be so happy. Would immediately replace my tv/monitor (depending what I got) Sorry for the rant, I really love CRT tvs and monitors.

You would get much higher FPS when you had it in SLI if you put the thing back together correctly, so it wasn't thermal throttling every nanosecond! As well, the 8800 GTS is faster than the 8800 GT so having the GT's in SLI made that performance difference between them "on par" with the performance of the GTS. Overall, great video, the algorithm on KZfaq is not doing you justice at only 7 views! I subscribed because this is the kind of content I want, just some random guy mumbling along about one of these old machines.

I was thinking maybe I put the gpus back together wrong as the temperature wasn't any lower after replacing the thermal paste. What did I do wrong? I did also test one of the gt cards on its own first before trying both and it was actually slightly faster than the gts. , which was also a bit confusing as I was aware the was meant to be a bit slower. Thanks for the comment though, I've been going mad waiting for atleast one person to watch this video

@DumpzterfireGaming If I'm being honest, I looked it over and I couldn't find any mistakes, so I'm guessing that your units are just so old and maybe even damaged but you can't see the damage directly but could under a microscope but idk man just I guess buy another one from maybe a different manufacturer

Also I still think the algorithm like forgot someone because that even if it was a little bit you know not mkbhd mic quality good was still entertaining which is all that counts. @@prestonlove8651 Yeah, I think the gpus are just pretty worn out at this point, I only paid like £10 for them though, got a video out of them so they served there purpose, thats the good thing about buying old gpus, they are all so cheap now, you can buy ones that were once like.. £500 for about £20

For a few months youtube persistently recommends randow videos with a little bit to no views and in vast majority of cases you will pretty quick understand why it's so low view count. But in this case it was a nice surprise - narrative, filming, montage, content itself and humor is really good. So keep going, wish you more views and viewers and greetings from Ukraine in time of rolling blackouts 🙂 I can agree with prestonlove8651 down in the comments. Also you told that you're reediting video and making it shorter - I don't think this is a good idea. AFAIK youtube loves 10+ minutes videos because it can put more ads to it, but mostly I just like longer videos - at least in cases when there is enough content for given time. And I think there will be enough of that adding like ten more games. Did you think about some litlle crazy stuff like watercooling and then overclocking this setup?
@DumpzterfireGaming21 күн бұрын
Cheers mate, I just uploaded another one with 10 games Tested instead of just Crysis. I've got a few really good ideas for more videos so I'm going to try to make some more now it seems people are finding them etc hopefully things get resolved soon in Ukraine 🇺🇦
