Lovely quilt. The white batik outer border is beautiful. I don't quilt, but this pattern seems like it would be a bit advanced for a beginner. It's great that you've done this tutorial as an adjunct to the written instructions.

I love the final product on this pattern. I think I would be very confused about this pattern, if not for Donna's excellent tutorials. Side note, I would have kept the pink strips in from the jelly roll and removed the lavender, I love pink, purple and turquoise together. Another job well done Donna, thank you!!

You know... if I owned a place like Jordan Fabrics, I might be able to make a pretty quilt as well! Just imagine the ability to choose whatever you want, whenever you want. I doubt I would be anywhere near as good as Donna in choosing colors though! In this tutorial, I LOVE the outer border and feel that this really showcases the quilt. Imagine it in a darker border... nah... This is so beautiful! I always forget that your giveaway is a different quilt... but this one is a beauty as well. I'd be happy with either one, knowing that Donna made it AND, my birthday IS the winter solstice... I ordered this ruler, but geez, there are so many fun quilts to use it on, I can't make up my mind!
