I'm still getting over the brutal bike ride I done over the festive period, I'm in a fair bit of pain, my knee did not like 375km of gravel... so I set off in the sun for a nice little cruise but also to complete a secret mission. I did one of the most stupid things I could have done, I let the car battery go flat... so I go off in search to rectify the problem, of course... nothing ever goes to plan.

If it's not a flat Di2 battery, it's the car battery......😮 The cold and the rain will be a shock when you return to the UK, hope you have packed some gloves along with your Di2 charger👍

Since you arrived in Portugal you had some bad luck 😅 car accident, bike broken... fortunately nothing serious, i hope everything Will Be fine. It must feel stupid to Say It because my Life now Is so much worse than your, but thanks also to you i can try to not Always focus on my problems. Thanks man.

Gonna miss your videos, but you need to rest that knee. I hurt mine riding up some pretty steep climbs one day I had to take a month off and yes, I saw the middle finger at that speeding vehicle.😂

Living in Hawaii , I'm so blessed to ride almost everyday in great weather. I would highly suggest a visit for a few months to truly see how cycling is suppose to be. I don't own long sleeves, pants, full finger gloves, nothing water proof. Only need Jersey, shorts (no bibs, too much extra), polarized sun glasses, helmet and shoes and a bike. Also Garmin in garbage, you take your phone with you, (if it an iPhone), get an Apple Watch and use the cycling app on the iPhone. It kills Garmin, and absolutely no need for both, and who doesn't take a phone with them on a ride. All that extra ruins the ride. it's like taking a T.V. to the beach. I watch cycling video's all day and wouldn't trade with anyone of the people in the video's. They look like they are having fun, but I don't think they really know how fun it can really be. And if climbing is your thing, Haleakala mountain is 10,023 feet. Ironman every year, and local triathlons. This place is cycling heaven.

You are doing big mistakes, sugar in coffee, never do this😂😂😂. You should do like the Portuguese guys, a freaking good Pastel de Nata and a Expresso without any drop of sugar. Enjoy Portugal and our roads

I will throw some raw sugar in my coffee. It’s OK because you’ve been riding for like hours and you need a boost if you ask me.

I thought all modern cars had "auto" setting for headlights which would switch them off when you switched the ignition off? 🤔

Yeah... I've got a 2006 Mini which ain't exactly modern and I never turn 'em off. Must be some other issue w/ the jam jar.

Motorists don’t always shout obscenities driving past you do they? I would think in a climate like Portugal you’d expect cyclists everywhere and therefore a bit more tolerant
