You two are really very good. Good format, good content, I would suggest you double down on your investment in this channel as the chemistry you have is uncommon. I have seen other channels that have had their own chemistry, then changed up the people and the chemistry was gone… shows how difficult it is to achieve what you have. Best of luck to you!

Love the summer watch choices as I have both. A black G Shock and the Mido Ocean Star Decompression Timer with blue bezel (especially summer-y on the blue strap that comes with it)

Great content! What would you recommend is a good and 'affordable' brand dress watch, that allows you to sit with people wearing higher end brands without feeling left out? $3000-4000 and $5000-6000 budget? Thanks!

There’s only one way to judge Bond movies: the cool gear in them. From that perspective, it’s The Spy Who Loved Me. Giugiaro designed Lotus Esprit, with submarine feature. On the wrist, Seiko 0674 5009 with ticker tape messaging capability. And everyone knows Roger Moore was great. Just ask the Japanese photographer in Lost in Translation who schooled Mr Bob Harris.

I pretty much agree with respect to bronze cases. The patina for me, does nothing. I too prefer at least the idea of a silver case such as the BB925, but the patina they exhibit can be unpleasant as well, particularly If there’s a distinct yellow undertone. I own an A385 El Primero, that 4:30 window isn’t for everyone, but it works very well of your open to it. It adds a little visual tension to the design. The Shadow Revival chrono is an a no date example, it looks great. As a rule, I favor no date watches, pretty much every other watch I own is a no date watch, I’d much rather have the date window at 4:30 on the El Primero. The examples with the window at 6:00 tend to be too large for my taste. That aside, something like an Omega Globemaster is a very fine watch and the 6:00 window - superfine.

The oxidation of a silver watch is also caused by the copper in the alloy, that will be at under 5%

In terms of best complications, I would look at what is most difficult to achieve; which is generally considered to be a Minute Repeater or Split-Second Chronograph.

Hello and thanks for this video. Ming underrated? Are you serious? Have you seen how it is impossible to buy one when a new model is landed? Have you seen how high retail prices are? And, about integrated bracelet, what about no vintage ones?

Really good points. Thomas made the point re construction and quality service. I have not had those experiences, but that episode landed a kidney punch on the brand. I like them and had good experiences, but the reputational hit was substantial.

Most underratted brand : Montblanc they have héritage from Minerva and Nicolas Rieussec Best 2 tones watch : my Submariner Steel and Gold blue and my DJ41 black dial or Tudor GMT s&g i love 2 tones Swatch X Blancpain best color : white /grey Best complication : perpetual calendar with moonphase and Mareograph from Yema Worst case material : bio ceramic 🤢 Best 007 movie : Goldeneye of course Best summer watch : Norqain wild one turquoise Best date window : 6 o'clock Best integrated bracelet watch : Vacheron Constantin Overseas or Bell and Ross BR 05 and maybe Piaget

AP summer edition RO offshore Byblos edition. Probably going to be my next to last watch if I can ever afford one. Close second is the 5968A with orange strap but the 2X price tag is a bit of a turn off. These two just scream summer to me.

Ok Thomas how long are we going to continue perpetuating the customer experience criticism against Ming? I just ordered a strap from Ming, it was lost in transit by FedEx and they replaced it immediately and sent me a nice little something extra for my inconvenience (that wasn’t their fault in the first place)? 2 years? 5 years? Have you had any experience with them recently or are we just regurgitating something that happened (and was a valid criticism years ago) ?

At least in the EU as a commercial seller, shipping is your risk so you are legally obligated to replace it.

Thomas implies Ming customer service is sub par and I disagree and question whether he just perpetuates a valid issue from years ago

Carbon fiber cases are no more luxurious than plastic. Filler, resin, mold. Fine for a quartz lcd, upscale Casio for instance, but just ridiculous for a quality mechanical watch.
