Bam Bam debuted in the 80s. He was in the Wrestlemania game for the NES which was released in 1989. He’d already been around for a few years before that.

Bam Bam Bigelow actually debuted around the mid 1980's, being managed by Oliver Humperdink then, in WWF. He teamed with Hulk Hogan many times back then. He was even on the old NES video game that came out in the 1980's. He did not debut in the 1990's.

I got to meet Bam Bam once in the 90's when I was 10. It was when he was doing the mid-south Memphis independent circuits. He was signing autographs for kids (for free), but because he was a heel; he hid behind the ring entrance curtains so the audience wouldn't see him being nice. My brother and I were terrified of him at first because of seeing his heel performances on television. But he was a really good guy.

I get a lot of conflicting opinions on Vader. Some say he was stiff af (and tbh that's what it looked like, when he started clubbing fools), others say he never actually hurt anyone and only really made it look stiff. At any rate, he never should've come to WWF tbh because they completely ruined him.

I'm surprised Hennig's back problems are not mentioned more. It played a huge role in his never getting the Big Belt. At the height of his popularity in 1991 he had to drop the IC Title to Bret because he needed surgery. Then, later, after his Face Turn in late 1992, Vince had big plans for him in 1993. The Face Turn was the pre-req for winning the Big Strap. It was in the cards for him to win the Royal Rumble and then get his shot in Wrestlemania IX, or for him to win King of the Ring and then vie for the title in later 1993. But, Hogan's machinations to get the Belt back happened for the first scenario, and his back problems returned in summer 1993. From then on his appearances were too sporadic for a big push and by the time he was healthy again he went to the WCW. He had missed his window. It is high praise that Bret Hart said Hennig was the one man he readily admits was better than him in all respects.

Perfect, like so many others, peaked at the wrong time in the late 80s and early 90s. Back then WWF title changes were rare. The WWF Championship scene was mostly dominated by Hulk Hogan and whoever his latest foil happened to be. I haven't really followed wrestling much since about 2004 but when I hear how many times guys like Triple H, Cena, Edge etc. held the title, I shake my head because guys like Perfect, DiBiase, Jake, Piper, and Owen never had one reign as champ.

it depends on what you consider underrated or whatever. arguably, the best " wrestlers" wrestled for the intercontinental title back in the day. that was mr perfect. yea some got the push to heavyweight title, but really the biggest heel or biggest face at the time was who carried the belt. when perfect was in wcw, he was just another name amongst the likes of savage, sting, hogan, hart, goldberg, giant, nash and hall, etc. as far as vader, he got his wcw run, which was his prime. he was still big in wwf, but you had taker, stone cold, rock, mick foley, ron simmons/farooq. same with bam bam. like many others said, he was around way back in the day, and considering his gimmick, he had a pretty good run through all the promotions. i mean it wasnt like he was barry horowitz lol not to mention, bam bam was around in eras where he wasnt the tallest, fattest, most muscular, or most athletic. when you had to be one to get anywhere. and his gimmick was only that he was the beast from the east lmao what the fuck even is that? that could apply to vader too, but vader was an inch or 2 taller and 60lbs heavier, doing the same shit but scarier looking

Vader's push was halted because he was stiff. Michaels didn't want to work with Vader because he was unsafe and sloppy in the ring. not because he didn't like him. He worked with psycho Sid instead who wasn't in his Clique but was a safe worker. It wasn't just Shawn Michaels who said it. It's one thing when you are using your weight on jobbers in WCW or Japan, and it's another thing when you are messing up spots and roughing up the top guy in the company in the WWE.
