@@xx.random.stay.143. boygroups did no special to me. Actually i think boygroups are even already obsoletely done. They’re all the same shouting short-haired boys that so hard to significantly recognized individually. Few persons that i think quite standout are like RM, Jimin or Jackson Wang but still way too far from many iconic girls. Top GGs like the legendary BLACKPINK and (G)I-DLE are the few examples of top-tier level of uniquenesses. All these girls can sing in any songs, anywhere in the world and i still suddenly recognize. Groups like NewJeans, aespa, LE SSERAFIM, IVE, NMIXX or even the earlier Red Velvet also did the iconic directions, sounds that shine both as a group and individually to gain more of beyond industry attentions. The naturally fact that girls are more advantage in the terms of visual by variation of hairstyles, makeups, clothes or else. The audiences that i don’t think much boys hype boygroups while the GGs audiences are vary in every genders are also the natural factors that GGs models are more spontaneously work. Fortunately, boygroups gain more money from the loyalty young crush girl fans that rely more on what they see than what they heard so they’re still legit to go on. I think it’s kinda interesting if the industry will have another legendary fame as BTS again? I don’t think i see any of that yet while the GGs’ side NewJeans with the yet near-to-perfect discography and direction as BLACKPINK ever did just even more on the right track each days go. (G)I-DLE, aespa and even the newest BABYMONSTER are have such high speculation to be the next legend both as a group and individually. I can’t even wait to see when and how RAMI’s voice conquer the iconic status definitely in the K-pop or even beyond in wide world that she’s even unique enough for that level. K-pop’s totally excited me bc of GGs and absolutely not boys. Only song from last year that i quite hype with is like ‘Get A Guitar’ of RIIZE 😅 Jungkook also did hits but i think he needs more work on the individually uniqueness. BTS got big tunes like Butter, Dynamite, My Universe but that’s that. That’s too few for the legendary status to me so i also think they’re a quite even overrated.

@GUiTERtUbE both bg and gg are equally important in kpop. Its not that gg finally got the denomination that they deserve. Gg have always been way more popular, despite bg still doing very well. Equally as good and popular. I'd just say that girl groups did well in 2023, not them deserving to denominate it, bc gg have always done better

The fifth generation began in November 2022, meaning every group that debuted since that month is considered to belong to the fifth generation, it does not matter if you disagree or not, but it is a reality. Fifty fifty and baby monster are 5th generation groups and if you are one of those who say that the fifth generation should have started in 2024 then any group that debuted after November 2023 is considered to belong to the fifth generation and baby monster would still be considered a fifth generation group. (In any case, those who debuted before BM are considered 5th generation even if they do not want to accept it). The group the boyz debuted in 2017 but is considered a 4th generation group because their debut was in the month of December. Furthermore, baby monster debuted 1 month ago and the video continues to gain more than 2.5M visits every day. If it continues to generate that amount of visits between 2-3 months, it will surpass the video of a most viewed kpop group in 2023...

Right!! I confuse in the boyz too I thought they are 3rd gen. But I think the one who debuted on 3rd quarter and 4th quarter of 2023 is 5th gen. Sorry for my grammar 😅.
