@@toast4499 idk many other motorsport fans but I’d happily watch the 6h of monza. Watched 16/24h of the 24H of Le Mans after having missed the first 4 due to being out when it started. Like I say I don’t know others but I’m more than happy to watch most of it!

@@matixok1167 How is WRC underrated? WRC saw a huge boom in the mids 2000s and then fell off. How can it be underrated if it was insanely popular but people got bored? WRC was only good when they drove cars that you could easily purchase yourself and when Group B was around. Modern WRC is complete garbage.

Local rallies are far better, e.g. here in Ireland we have the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship which has a bunch of categories competing, so there's some wrc spec cars as well as loads of mkII escorts, celicas, starlets, old 911s, Evos, Impreza Stis, Civics and plenty more As well the sound of rallies in person is unbeatable

@@VolkMate Local rallies tend to be very popular indeed, sadly current WRC is just a former shell of it's previous glory. They messed it up themselves but I think with the downfall of WRC, it killed rally in mainstream for maybe ever. The World is changing fast and WRC decided to commit suicide at a very bad time.

@@SepticEmpire Nope, it's, not, only in the US. Outside of North America, Indy is not a thing. Nearly nobody cares about it in Europe, in Asia, or in Oceania. Same as... The Super Bowl is not the most watched sports event in the globe. It's the biggest thing in North America, but just a few people are interested in it around the globe.

I think one reason Nascar isn't more popular worldwide outside of the fact it's US based is the fact 80-90 percent of the worlds population lives in the other side of the globe and would have to wake up at odd times to catch the races. Where F1 has most of their races during more reasonable hours.

If it was available for the public to watch, it would gain more interest. From the dozens of people that used to watch F1 once, only me and my father are left, because it's not on free tv anymore in our country, noone wants to pay 30 euros a month to see it and noone knows or bothers on how to watch it anywhere else via a VPN.

@@6TheButcher Folkracing is underrated becouce it is only driven in Nordic countries. The fact that you need to sell the car for 2000euros makes it the best entry level motorsport. Most powerfull engines you see are 2.3L duratecs, Opel big block cih engines, Volvo incline engines and vw boxer engines.

There’s already a European series that consists of like 10 races. Most of it is not on ovals so it isn’t the traditional racing but still good exposure for some new talent to rise through the ranks.

WEC is about to explode in popularity. Indycar is steadily increasing, and NASCAR is beginning to come back from its slump in the past decade. Formula E is also growing. F1 has exploded recently, even though Max’s domination has seen numbers slump a bit since 2022. The only one of these on the way down is unfortunately WRC, with a lack of interested manufacturers. They need to seriously shake up the regulations to bring it back.

The final lap at Phillip Island this year was simply epic. And at least in motogp this year a ducati can always win but not the same rider, this year in motogp there have been 6 different winners in 16 races while for example in f1 there have only been 3 winners in 18 races. Edit: Now there are 8 different winners in MotoGP this year and the championship has not yet been decided. And there is only one race left

Its very simple, Indy races only in USA and 1 race in Canada, when Formula E races in 11 different countries. It doesnt matter if Indy produced a good races its just not global.

Apart from WEC, which is for true motorsport fans, Indy and Formula E are underrated. The problem with Indy is that the races are only in America, and as an european, I can only watch highlights, but I personally love this series. Formula E is still very new and didn t grow a fanbase yet. In my experience as a big motorsport fan, FE is the most viewer friendly of them all. What a pity some people hate electric cars, but let s be honest, this is the future of motorsport.

Same with nascar, I think they only count the average viewers or something because there are a ton more NASCAR fans, a lot just don’t watch the races or can’t watch them like me, a lot of use watch on KZfaq or follow other sources for nascar or racing in general. TV viewership is only part of all the fans, I expected f1 to have at least 200 million to 300 million

Man I can’t stand seeing WEC having less fans. It is a cool series and I love the cars in that championship. I also want IndyCar to be more popular since the cars are very fast on the ovals and it’s a crime to see them having a low audience! 😢
