After watching this video you really come to appreciate the professionalism of a band like Motorhead. After they are long gone the band will still be heard by new generations of rockers. Motorhead forever.
@fierrote10 жыл бұрын
Well, Eddie was young back in the 80's. and as we all know rock 'n roll artists live a very fast and crazy life, especially when they're young. So yeah, probably Eddie didn't act very professional back then, but I'm sure he is not the same person now. Any how when I wrote "professional", I was referring to the effort and time they invest to become exceptional musicians.
@fierrote10 жыл бұрын
You lucky dog. I bet it was fun and interesting to have met the classic Motorhead band in person. They were awesome with Eddie and Phil. I was very lucky to see Motorhead perform live in Los Angeles back in the early 80's

HAHAAAAH - I remember a nice joke here: Lemmy comes to Valhalla and meets Odin. Odin shows the whole place to him and finally, they end up in his armoury - and Odin wonders, why Lemmy shakes his head all the time. "What's up with you?" Odin says "Let's go to my place", Lemmy says, "I'll show you what an armoury has got to looks like!"

Definitely. You can tell he built everything around a blues influence and it gave the classic lineup of Motorhead their sound that IMHO was them sounding at their best. Too bad we never got to see the original 3 play together on a tour one last time. Eddie had no wish to leave Motorhead-it was his dislike of collaborating with Wendy O'Williams that clashed with Phil and Lemmy. (Always the poontang causing problems...it was according to Phil the reason Lemmy fired him as he claimed to have stolen one of Lemmy's ladies.)

Sad day as Fast Eddie has gone.one of the best guitar players and one of life's good guys.classic Motörhead were part of my teen years growing up,always remember seeing them at the Lyceum on the overkill tour and at Hammersmith odeon on the bomber tour,seriously loud.3 guys who knew how to enjoy themselves and make a lot of people happy and deaf at the same time.may all 3 rest in peace.

I always liked Eddie also-not only for his guitar playing but also because he's one helluva good story teller during these interviews. He also seemed like a genuinely nice man. Not everyone would offer to pay thieves that stole a prized guitar-seemed just his way of smoothing things over and not ruining anyone's life. His stories about the early days with Phil and Lemmy are amazing and always with humor. (Even though Phil claimed Eddie was like Hitler as a foreman....probably just his being a perfectionist.)

I'm not into Motorhead in a big way but Fast Eddie Clarke's guitar riff from "Bomber" made me take up and learn the electric guitar back in the late seventies - I'd never heard a riff so good that fitted a song so perfectly. My goodness what talented musicians these guys were. 'Pretty tight since we have not played it together for 20 years!' Lemmy, this sounds absolutely freakin' superb! Fast Eddies tone was an essential part of the original Motörhead line up. Phil was just incredible, and Lemmy played bass with a unique style just like a lead guitarist at times (in fact he called himself a guitarist who plays bass and not a bass guitarist), astonishing with so much guts. But it was the overall incredible sound together that made them Motörhead. That sound was absolutely unique, and here the lads prove that hands down. Every one of them in the groove. Lemmy foot tappin' and ringing out that gutsy rhythm, Phil and Eddie right in the flow of the fast paced music. God bless Lemmy. He had his falling out with Eddie for leaving the group, but was man enough to put that aside with the decency to allow this jamming session of the greatest Motörhead line up to take place. Credence Lemmy for that alone. You did all of humanity a service. You know, there are many imitators, but nobody replicated the original Motörhead line ups sound, and this here is the REAL DEAL. This is what I got into Motörhead for, this! Not loudness, but this sound. This incredible sound. Such a sad, sad loss, but their musical magnificence remains for all time as an inspiration to the generations who come after them. Eddie too, what a lovely bloke. He made time for everyone, a real gent, and a superb guitarist. RIP guys. Somewhere in Heaven right now jamming and rubbing shoulders with the greats. How Hendrix and others must be so proud of Lemmy, Eddie, and Phil. They came a long way, reached up and touched the stars.

Don’t underestimate the guitar licks he came up with . When we went to see Motörhead it was in Lemmies home town , you know , the fukn Deeside leisure center , way back , at the beginning. It was only ten miles away , just wondering if the ice would melt that’s all we thought, it was an ice rink but thankfully some one had thought of that possibility before hand and so actually out steel boots weren’t necessary, we thought, then all these MODs turned up punks and shit . Wow violence for standing in a line ? Then the Hells Angels turned up also and told them to fuck off on their hair dryer engine powered things and they did scooter off ! I felt tribal warfare for the first time as a teenager. We were all deaf for a week with a strange form of tinitus , a ringing in our ears . The Guinness book of Records said Motörhead was the loudest band , it was to be expected in Lemmys local area , we concluded.
