Can you believe me, I've been killing goblins for almost and hour and got no hat. So yeah, I went back to the G.E. and bought one for freaking 5k... The goblin mail is also used in one of the later quest (not remember the name, but it's one of the dogreshuun quest series). And you CAN wear it after drinking a special potion, that turns u into a goblin :D

Its a LOTR reference not the Hobbit.

The ghost hand dropping the gold ring could be a Lord Of The Rings reference too. Remember at the start of the first movie the war and he gets the gold ring from Saurons hand. I can't remember if his hand was chopped off or not though.

Late 2017 when I returned to Osrs the Goblin Mail was selling on GE for between 300-500gp each. I literally went to populated worlds and picked them up from other players kills in lumbridge and used the money to buy every armour set including rune, all range sets including black d hide and runes for casting. I checked back again recently for the sake of it and they were around 70gp but yeah... Goblin Mail funded my return to the game. Ignorance is bliss.

I remember that I used to wear chef hat, highway man cape, leather boot+gloves, gold ring, staff and wooden shield and run around runescape. I also killed tons of goblins thinking the only specific goblin mails were equipable. I feel like such a newb now.
