The wooden mask on the first design ended up (maybe unintentionally?) doubling as a great reference to the fact that puss moth make cocoons out of what’s essentially chewed-up tree bark, and there’s multiple videos of puss moths emerging from their cocoons with what I think might be their old caterpillar face still covering their moth face like a mask.

I really like how you use black and white to add more detail and it overall gives a really cool and unique look. The first moth character looked awesome with the mask!

Lovely designs, my favorite was definitely the resident evil styled moth tyrant xD I drew a 'vampire moth' last month, which was basically just a fuzzy large moth that sucks blood, because the idea of having a swarm of moths by night that are in the hunt of blood is just terrifying haha

Butterflies occasionally drink blood, but their mouths are not suitable for biting or piercing skin, so they just drink it when there is some. So now imagine a mangled, mutilated corpse, almost entirely covered with butterflies. I need to draw this.

One time I found a moth the size of a pigeon (not joking), it was very cool. Also the first design reminds me of silksong from hollow night, since everything is basically a moth there lol. As always epic vid, and am now hoping that a giant humanoid moth doesnt eat me in my sleep...

i use Krita and like all the other art youtubers use like proceate which is not available on computers or csp but seeing you use krita inspired me alot like i yelled out super loud "KRITA!"

my grandma once said I could only draw pigeons well and that if I was told to draw a realistic kangaroo I wouldn’t be able to draw one… she said this to my mum and when I learned of this I was so mad that I drew one and it was great! it is on my wall and a year later it still looks great

These are AWESOME!!!!! It’s so cool how you can take a moth and a trope and make so many completely different and gorgeous character designs from it! My personal favourite is the first one, I just love their mask! Quick question, what brush do you use?

Thank you! I use Krita, and the brushes are "Ink-4 Pen Rough" (for the illustrated speedpaints), "Charcoal Pencil Medium" (for the animated scenes), and "Chalk Details" (for the shadow details)
