Huge thanks to Incognootle for the wonderful artwork and Luci (Creep-P) for helping with the vocals! This was a super fun project to work on! This song has actually been in the works since 2019 but then life got crazy and I just never had a chance to do it justice. I’m really happy to have finally completed it and with the help of good friends no less! This song is a gesture of appreciation for a spirit who’s been a dear friend in trying times. Stay curious and chaotic ❤

This song reminds of the "first" computer bug. It was a moth that had gotten inside the computer at Harvard University, on September 9, 1947.

Thank you so much! It is indeed about Beelzebub! That’s a great way to interpret it! I have always known him as a chaos god who has a heavy association with technology (ie he loves messing with it). And he’s kind of offering up his side of the story since (like with most chaos gods through history) everything you’ll ready about him with a religious spin will be vastly negative or paint him in a bad light. He’s essentially offering his own argument and leaving it to the listener to decided how they feel.

As someone who has studied anthropology and in particular religion and belief, this song very much intrigues me. See in anthropology religion is often described as a series of cultural and social guidelines that are created by a cultural group to dictate what is considered acceptable behavior and beings like Beelzebub are often used as a tool to dictate unacceptable values. However, as we have seen in recent years many have begun to realize that such beings are not necessarily pure evil but might be more nuanced than that, like the song says "not black or white but in between"

I love the message in this about the scare tactics used by the abrahamic religion used for centuries. I think I know who this is about when the sigil flashed(I see what you did there). The song is really well done! Ive been on my own roller coaster ride with various spirits with Loki being at the central hub of it. Thats a story too long to tell here. Christanity in the 70s to some of the 80s , some ufo experiences in the 80s making me question everything Ive been taught changing to contact with all kinds of spirits good and bad. My conversion from christian to pagan in my early 30s changed everything for the better. I wouldnt have been able to handle the crazy scary stuff if I still believed that the paranormal was ALL evil out to get me. Think outside the box indeed. I can tell youve learned a lot from your spirits too. I wish we could talk so I could tell you some of what Ive seen. Anyway sorry for the long ramble and kicka$$ song!

Basically all the spirits get a bad rep, but the chaos ones really seem to get raked across the coals which is pretty sad when chaos is a necessary part of balance and they are amazing teachers. Ok Ill go through the website! Yes, the chaos deities get villianized. The Voudoun too. I hate how KZfaq and Google has gotten so censored its hard to find anything that isnt some pastor warning of the dangers of spirit spouses or not following that religion. Id love to know more about your journey and experiences so Ill shut up and go over there now.

@Laughingbones, thats been a 23 years old journey! Basically, Loki is enigmatic as hell. He acts different with everybody according to what Ive read others say compared to my own. Being a god of transformation, trickery and chaos(with a little sexy elfin rockstar thrown in), he is predictable in his unpredictibility. He will only give you SOME of the answers to questions you ask him. He loves quirky offerings, cinnamon firewhisky and anything with glitter. I have called him Glitterbitch more than once. He kinda snuck up on me when I first met him in the form of a sudden hunch Id never had before. I was just at work washing dishes when I got the idea to read up on him. Id never even heard of him before that or any of the norse gods for that matter. It snowballed from there and he started to appear in my dreams. The first was trying to put out a fire in my house and seeing him standing behind me as a dark shadow. There were bonfires outside as well. I panicked till I woke up and my house was intact. The second one was seeing him in a desert standing against a big boulder. He wore a green outfit with a cape, had long wavy red hair and he was smirking. I was in a glass dome with all these other people who couldnt see him. The third and last encounter for 12 years was the most dramatic. I dreamed I lay on a stone table in a torchlit room and he was leaning over me talking in a musical androgynous voice that sounded like old norse. Hes never in all these years translated for me and that drives me crazy! His voice sounded loving and gentle. At the end, he kissed my cheek. There were no more dreams or anything till 2012 when it got REAL intense, and a lot more intimate for about 5 years. Thats when I became a godspouse, and why I call myself a spectrosexual. Loki has many partners and devotees. Some get along, some dont. There are some who are fake and just out to exploit the gullible and get attention. Especially if they claim to channel. Ive only had Loki talk to me ONCE through a random stranger I would never have expected to do that. Its very rare and he sure as hell dosent do it on command. Ive seen the tree of Yggdrasil in a really intense dream back in 2012 where I had to stand on the other side of it at a white fence with a gate. Before that, Id been walking through the ruins of an old medeival abby with faceless nuns. The tree scared the crap out of me by how big and powerful it was but was also enthrallung. It stood in shadow against a navy blue night sky with a sentient wind that whistled. I knew if I dared to pass through the gate I would die. When I woke up, our whole neighborhood was full of crows. Thats just a handful of things Ive experienced, and Ive met other deities and spirits too.
