This is the 8th experiment in my series of generative exploration patches with the Mother-32. Only one Mother is used, with the exception of the FX Aid module (Happy Nerding) directly connected to the VCA output.
In this patch, I wanted first to create very long swells, but unfortunately the lower rate of the Mother’s clock is too high. It seems that the only way is to control the tempo with an external slower clock or LFO. Write a comment if you have a solution without the help of any additional module.
So, I changed my goal and experimented a descent from the higher to lower registers. The sequence is the same as for my last patch, but with additional Holds. The ASSIGN output is set to Random Steps in Setup Mode, and the sequencer performs a random walk (kb + step + 4 buttons). Then, I progressively decrease the octave with the keyboard.
The patch bay is configured with the following links: ASSIGN to MULT, MULT 1 to MIX 1, MULT 2 to VCO MOD, KB to MIX 2, VC MIX to VCF CUTOFF, VCO SAW to EXT AUDIO, and LFO TRI to TEMPO.
Enjoy!
