My family are a living example of this situation. We are a happy blessed blended family. About 11 years ago my daughter was abandoned by my ex where I had no medical insurance and had to empty the house as could not afford the payments on it. My daughter had a hole in her heart but the hole became smaller and perfect size later in life. There are angles and God everywhere, so thankful for everything. I started from scratch again but held my daughter tight and told myself I will work hard and provide for my daughter and prayed for our stability in life. My daughter was my strength and now the whole family. 6 years ago I met my husband and son. Our son was abandoned by his birth mother as well. She just left abruptly. My husband is a very good father with us in his soul embedded deeply. Life isn’t rosy always lol as I thought growing up but need to struggle in order to survive.

This story is real sad. I cannot believe how cold it was for Brian's mom to abandon him the way she did. Brian deserves better than the way his mom left him like that. Whatever the person is going through, be there for them when they need it.

I can't imagine how he must have felt, seeing his mom driving away, i remember my baby. Seeing her laying in the hospital pains my heart but i have no regreats, i stood by her to the very end. Today i have got much to give thanks for like the wonderful memories.

I don’t understand what’s the reason the mom leaves her son behind himself without foods or with strangers. She didn’t care about her son’s health condition. Brian is an amazing guy and I'm glad Sam adopted him. Brian's mom is heartless for abandoning her own child all because he has cancer. It was kind of Brian helping out his and I'm proud of him for saying that he was not his mom's son. Blood does not make you family, how you treat one another, love and care for each other is what makes you family. My older sister had cancer twice, but my parents never gave up and she survived both times and is alive to this day.

I'm glad Brian got adopted by a rich man who didn't just pay his medical bills , he legally adopted the boy and loves him dearly . After Brian grew up healthy and visit his bio mom . Yes , it was difficult for him to forgive his mother after all the years he suffered after she abandoned him . After he paid her and left , she knew that she has been guilty for her wrong doing . I don't blame Brian for hating her for that accountability .

I had 2 children with a rare blood disorder. There were home infusions that I had to admister and lots of doctor visits. But I would never abandon my children nor would I give up. Today they are adults and I love them very much.
