In my opinion Hope is acting depressed. Her kittens don't really need her anymore, instinct tells her it is time to wean them, Coco and Angel are already gone, the others eat and groom themselves. Poor Tom missed his last 2 weeks with Mama because he was sick. Hope knows it is time for them to become independent cats, but doesn't know what to do with herself. If she doesn't see to their proper weaning they will not be able to take care of themselves. On the other hand, this could be the perfect time for Hope to be spayed. Also, since she is not eating much a vet checkup for her would be good. Wish I could donate to help with the cost. Hopefully others who can donate will give. Thank you for taking such good care of all the kittens and cats.

I don't think Hope is a bad mother. It is instinct with animals. She is full of hormones and probably conflicted herself. I do think she needs spaying. She would be much happier not having to deal with male cats and pregnancy.

It's sad to see this, even knowing it is natural that cat mothers wean their kittens. Hope was such a loving mother and this is the opposite. Poor kittens; they don't understand 😿 Good that they still have you! ♥️

I came here to try to find a remedy. Although she is spayed now, my Olivia is on her 2nd litter and for the past month or so, she would hiss and growl at the little ones whenever they get close to her. I take it she's trying to wean them, but every few days she lets them nurse again. They're going on 4mths now. Will the aggression ever stop. You are moving kittens for your filming. Just leave them alone.

Hope may not be feeling well. Their systems gets backed up with hairballs from daily groaming their kittens and themselves causing much discomfort. It is recommended to put a small amount of hairball remedy or regular vaseline on the tip of their nose or paw so they can lick it. Preferably in between meals.

It’s not normal for a cat to stop grooming and nursing her kittens while they’re still this tiny. Something’s wrong. She’s probably sick or knows her kittens are sick. They all should be seen by a vet.

My calico learned to ignore and let them raise hell all over my house. She made them a me problem. If your touching her babies, you put your scent on them. Unless she trusts you completely, then usually mom cat is not as protective and ignores them sometimes. Had two adopt a whole litter after my daughter and neighbor found the babies and petted them. Two days later they were crying and starving at my door. Mama hissed if they wanted to nurse. Unfortunately 3 of 4 were sick and didn't make it past a week. My calico is the only survivor. That's why she has me rangle them and carry them to their nest, or comes crying to me to feed them soft food because her milk is dried up.

Can you explain why the title of the video say Hope hissing and attaking her kittens and a photo showing Hope opening her mouth as if she is hissing and attaking popey but when we watch the video we saw that she was opening her mouth because she want to sleep..The video show that Hope is in heat but even if she is in heat she never attack her kittens .She can hiss at her kittens if she want to wean them but a mum cat never attack them because she loves them and she know that they need her protection at this age so in nature they stay with her until 3 or 4 months because she learn her kittens how to chase for feeding themselfs.We have seen in the video that she was enjoying her kittens contact when you put them near her.She doent attack them.

I didn't think Mom Hope could change her so loving attitude towards her kittens. Even if it's weaning time why does she have to get aggressive with them? Only until a few days ago she licked them, kissed them and now ....

I think there might be something wrong with her. I'm guessing she's a stray. But she's limping and too skinny. Also she's obviously not grooming them, and if u say she's loved doing it before, then the more reason to suspect she's unwell. They are still too young to be weaned. I don't know where you live but maybe the kittens should be taken to a shelter or you could get little bottles and kitten formula and feed them yourself. The white one is not in good shape. But it is obvious you do care and God bless you for that. I don't think I've ever seen a cat with distinctive patches of tabby and orange!

🤔 Wow! I’ve been watching from beginning when Hope hissed at Coco to finally opening her heart to the kitten, was just lovely to see. She is a great mother. I think she’s in pain firstly over her front, right paw. This is causing her a lot of discomfort and agony. I think that’s why she’s slightly miffed with you. Secondly, she probably misses Coco a lot now that he’s adopted and not there. Just continue to help and support Hope and her little, feline family. 🏆 Meow! Meow!
