She was the true light in it all. She had the credentials to make it all happen, or atleast knew someone who could. Kind of tells me good or bad, we are put together for a reason. Its our choice what we make of it.

Thank you!!! Agreed!! That's what I was thinking. I am sure she had friends, family who could have helped. Find a job, food stamps have always been there, etc. etc. Just saying. In this country, there is help!!! Or maybe back then, her family was not supportive, it happens, some parents even kick the girl out. But he forgave her, after all, this woman gave him life, and obviously he had a very good one. It was his decision, and they will have a relationship now, but his parents will always be his parents too.

Well when you're a woman who is the teenager and you don't know what to do you have no choice because your parents kicked you out you have nowhere to live you have nowhere to go, because you got pregnant by someone, it's better to put into adoption then rather than putting a baby into the street I know both of them are not good but still you have to pick your battles

@@demochris1786 exactly. Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is give your baby up for adoption. Now, you can even choose the parents to ensure your child grows up in a good home.

It would have been nice if this was highlighted in the video but I don't think that this mother was out for anything from her son. She probably was very young when she gave up her son because she felt that she couldn't give him the life he deserved without him ending up on the street in a bad life. She probably lived in regret for years and out of consideration that his life had moved on also out of fear of rejection she avoided a search. However, when she recognized the possibility that this might be her son, she put aside her fears and hesitations not knowing how her son would react and did what she felt was right. She more than likely had very low expectations and being aware of her mistakes, she went through it courageously. I'm proud of this mother because I can only imagine that it took a lot for her to find and approach her son that late in life. We all make mistakes in life, sometimes major ones. However, it's growth and progress in life when we can accept accountability and correct them.

Incidentally, the "mother" did not deserve forgiveness, but she received it only by the grace of our Gracious Great God.

What agency? She left him in front of a church when he was a baby. She just so happened to see him on TV and realized the resemblance. When she met him, all she asked for was forgiveness. She would have probably had the same reaction if she saw him somewhere on the street homeless.

Exactly and it's a very hard situation to be in as was shown. The Son did not let hate and resentment fill his heart, which showed he has good morals to hang on to.

@@walkertrokey395 Yea, I think based on how she looked, she probably was on some type of substance abuse cycle so maybe that was a factor but still, it's messed up to abandon the kid and over the years didn't even make an effort to reach out.
