I once had fish and chips from there and the fish was so fresh that when I opened the box, it had eaten the chips ! Lol

Yorkshire Fisheries is the best fish and chip shop in Blackpool. They’ve won the award for best fish and chips. I have known them for over 10 years. They are an amazing fish and chip shop.

I remember when a seagull took auntie Ethel's hotdog on random and desperate, was so funny, those seagulls are huge.

I remember mother Hubbard back in the early 80,s near Oldham my parents got food poisoning tell the seagulls ur called Stephen maybe then they will leave u alone they are called Stephen to aren't they great video my friend as always I love ur content it makes me feel young again when I used to go to Blackpool for my hols I haven't been back there tho for over 20 yrs as I live in Cork now

Saw a recent vid by someone who bought fish and chips in Blackpool, fish was very greasy but he had to retreat to a shelter on the prom because he was attacked by the gulls.

Chips did look a touch dry, but the fish looked real good, and the restaurant was done out nice, very nostalgic decor.

Man, I love fish and chips but can't get them here in the mountains of western Virginia.

Id have to say that in my experience if the chips are dry inside they're usually frozen chips, I might be wrong about those but in 99% of cases I've been right about them being frozen. Hope I'm wrong but I'm heading there when I'm down in July so I'll try them for myself. I'll try and keep away from the gulls.lol😅

I've been to one of the two branches in Birmingham and =, yeah, I liked them!

£10:45 is a wee bit expensive for what looks like a small portion but it did look lovely . Blackpool looks so quiet.

Awesome and delicious video Stephen😂, never heard of Mother Hubbard restaurants but there fish and chips look delicious. Lived on the east coast in Lowestoft and my favorite fish and chips shop was the Atlantic. Happy memories and ohhh do i miss authentic fish and chips! I have mixed feelings about seagulls. On the one hand, they deserve respect like any bird. On the other, they are SO NOISY! 😂

I've passed the very 1st Mother Hubbards many times on Ingleby Road in Bradford over the years.I cam honesty say I've never eaten there in 54 years. Mind you having a decent fish and chip shop on my door step fulfills my needs on that score whilst at home. Since returning to Blackpool, I try once or twice a year my port of call has been Yorkshire fisheries. Lovely portions and a brew.

No Stephen! Vinegar first salt second. T'other way around washes the salt off your food. My thoughts and I've heard it said many times. Not the cheapest fish and chips but the portion you were served looked impressive. I tried Taylors on St Annes Rd (opposite Halfway House) the other night for the first time and was impressed.

Looks really good Steve ,when we come over in September I am going to try haddock as I haven't had haddock since I was a child when we use to have finny haddock with parsley sauce.

Fab video Stephen, I loved all the old pictures of Blackpool on the mother Hubbard's walls ,when visiting Bridlington the seagulls are vicious and just attack anyone who has food you have to be really carefull there and they are so big 😊 when there constantly screeching which is a nightmare if there outside your hotel it a sign to ward off predators from there young ,they certainly had there eyes on your chippy tea it looked a beautiful warm night as well ❤

Wow, mother Hubbard's from Bradford 🤗😋💕 Thee best fish iv ever had. Every time my mum went to visit her sister's she would always bring me some. And of course Yorkshire Fisheries. I went in that Mother Hubbards about a year ago and recommended it to you especially because of the abundance of old Blackpool photos. But here's my query: Old mother Hubbard Went to the cupboard To get her poor doggie a bone. But when she got there The cupboard was bare And so the poor doggie got none. WHY...would you name your restaurant after someone with no food?

We were in the square in Dundee a couple of years back a flipping seagull took my whole Gregg's baguette way up and away 😒😯

We had them in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Same as you found, chips were big and dry but the fish was amazing.

Got a mother Hubbards near us (Salford) had it once, just average but on the coast it's always better no matter where you go. That does look nice though. Saying that, went in papas Blackpool on good Friday, awful. Them gulls look nasty, Just have a bite and throw it. Ha ha. Now that is how a fish should be, nothing like what you get inland. Don't worry about the salt Walkon, my Dad ate ridiculous amounts and lived to 90. You can eat and do what you want as long as its all balanced. There's a shop on ocean Road in South Shields does chunky chips.

We have a Mother Hubbard's here in Preston Lancashire. My mother (82) and I went for supper tonight, fish and chips and it all ended up in the bin. The oils they used stunk. Never going there again.

Been in this chippy loads food is fantastic well worth the money.

Feed the gulls some bread with tobasco sauce -- that'll keep them occupied while you're eating.

Was at a friends birthday party 1/6 with which he had a fish & chip van on site, they were absolutely beautiful as I remember them back in the day, not dry chips as you get now and fish full of tasteless batter. This industry has been destroyed by the health conscious idiots that have been instrumental in stopping the quality of the food we used to enjoy. 10/10 last night.

Same portion of Fish and Chips at my local Mother Hubbards are £7.95.Having said that I live in Oldham and there are no tourist attractions in Oldham...In fact there's very little to attract anyone to Oldham to be honest.😂😂😂
