Lol...Even after Louise comes to Mother Jefferson's defense after George yells at her, Mother Jefferson turns around and yells at Louise for defending her, and then starts back insulting her.

Because not everyone overcame at the same time or in the same way. I rather felt sorry for Florence. It was good she ended up with the job anyway but we never saw Diane again and I liked her.

@@alondralabute2310 *Because Florance is Not from an affluent community* or knows people from such high Income & Tax Brackets. *That's why she didn't know that Multiple Black People overcame and had Money,* lived in Expensive High-rise Apartments and had Maids.

@@TheBrownIsland Neither is Louise. She came from a poor background too, had grown up in Harlem. So did George. But George was able to work his way up. Though they never mention it on The Jeffersons, we learn in season 1 of All in the Family that they got a nice settlement from the insurance company after a car accident and used the money to buy a cleaning store. They were able to move from Harlem to next door to Archie (middle class) and George worked it to own more cleaning stores and become rich. I don't know much about Helen's background, she was perhaps more affluent than Louise growing up.
