How am I a sicko, exactly? I just wrote about how Norman unintentionally killed the girl he once loved. I didn't say I enjoyed it, or anything along that nature. I just simply stated that this scene was heartbreaking, and why I thought it was. If that makes me a sicko, then anyone who feels bad for some of the heartbreaking deaths in this show by Norman's hand, are also sickos. That's stupid, and blasphemy.

You do realize that Norman didn't want to kill Bradley? Aside from the shower murder scene in S5, Norman never had control when he murdered someone. His Mother personality always overtook him and at that point, he has essentially no control over what happens. Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for Bradley. Her life was in complete shambles, everyone she knew and love, thought she was dead and got over it, pretty much forgetting she ever existed. She just wanted to be with Norman, but the fates were violently against them, sadly. I did say the scene was heartbreaking when I first saw it. I actually liked Bradley in S1, and was bummed when she left in S2. Then, I got happy when they announced between seasons that she was coming back to the show. However, She only came back for about the last three episodes and got killed off ☹ It sucks, she was pretty interesting as a character, but I guess she had no story left from a narrative standpoint and therefore, was best to killed off the show. It wasn't easy for me to watch when I first saw it, and it still isn't to this day.

She should have just gone home instead of running away with Norman, who she had warnings about. I suppose just going home and being fine isn't dramatic, she mostly comes back to be someone for Norman to kill and easily get away with it, but still the scenes were good.

I think it was a combination of both. Knowing he was leaving his mother and the town she's in, and Bradley confirming to him that he's leaving his mom caused the mother's personality to emerge since it felt threatened by everything going on and took out Bradley.

It really was a brilliant use of that song.

Interesting, I never really thought about that. In some ways it does make sense, that Norman's deep rooted obsession with his mother and this mother alter ego felt threatened by one of the only girls Norman had truly cared for, and he had to "kill" this girl so that mother would be the only one in his life. I do think that the show intended for Bradley to be real and Norman really did physically kill her, but given just how mentally unstable and insane Norman is, it's at least somewhat plausible.

That's why her character had to be written off the show in season 2.

Since Norman is actually taking over his moms norms and thoughts Bradley is actually a very dangerous factor. As mom says he would die without mom. And that’s what Norman thinks subconsciously too. That’s why everything that parts those two has to disappear!
