As someone struggling with anxiety and a recent atypical ADD screening, this song means a lot to me. Like, I feel as if I'm falling behind all the "normal" people because I just don't want to do the things they do. I don't want to develop a complicated skincare routine. I don't want to buy a calendar. I don't want to enroll in summer programs or go clothes shopping or even go outside most of the time. I just want to stay behind.

I finally listened to this and as someone with horrible attachment issues, anxiety, and depression it feels like they took the strings of my heart and played my sorrow and pain out in music form and the lyrics are comforting them. I want the world at my feet, I want the world to see me as somebody to look up to, I want to help the world, I want it to include me, I want the world to wait up for me because I know I'll never be able to catch up. But it won't, and it never will I can't rush myself and force myself to be on the same level as everyone else. and I can't expect everyone else to pity me and understand. I just need to slow down and wait to heal, look for a bandaid. It's scary and my stomach will always drop and my heart will always pound on my rib cage and my skin will always crawl. Mother mother has helped me a lot for the past 2-3 years and it’s funny that when I was younger,(about 2 years ago) I remember seeing “it’s alright” by mother mother in my recommendations and listening it and instantly loving and connecting to it.(At the time I was in year 5 and only starting to explore KZfaq)Since then I’ve always had been loving this type of music and just Mother Mother overall.I love the guys behind Mother Mother and hope that they can have the best life possible.Thank you❤️

I really love the contrast between the colours - being outside the light seems white, cold and almost clinical. Inside (house, car) the light is more yellow and warm. Both are beautiful in their own ways. It‘s very pleasing to look at :)

I interpret this song as about not being able to stop thinking about the past and all those bad things you lived, and although, even though you're living in the past, time, people, everything keeps moving forward. This song is my personal bubble of contentness After finally leaving an abusive situation I have grown to love this song as a way to remind myself of how it’s ok for me to adjust and how it’s good that I can process everything. The entire song is a reminder that I don’t have to be at full capacity, that I can relax and enjoy time and not worry about each and every one of my next steps, that I made it and don’t have to keep working to achieve safety.
