CMV can be tested during pregnancy. I went in for an ultrasound at 6 months, found out my baby had water on the brain, an enlarged liver. I was tested thru an amniocentesis, I knew before he was born he wasn’t going to be healthy and require medical attention. He passed away a month later. Sometimes testing after is too late.
