This really says a lot about how negligent and pansy the public schools are when it comes to policing bullying. Schools let bullies get away with murder. They generally take the liberal position that, "the bully doesn't need to be punished, he just needs to be talked to". They are so soft on bullying. This kind of of environment led to the massacres at Columbine and Virginia Tech. I don't blame this frustrated mother for going semi-vigilante.

CBS Los Angeles. You reported that the police are investigating what charges may be filed against this mother. Perhaps you should investigate what kind of charges will be filed by the police against the students if their unchecked bullying results in another student killing herself over it. You might have the best opportunity to serve the community by a follow up story so that all students can fully understand what the consequences will be on their own lives if their meanness and disregard for others is allowed to persist. They might think it is all fun and games-- but they will be shocked to learn that those who are brutally subjected to it may not see it that way. We suffer in this country of serious lack of compassion and down right cruelty. "Investigating Administrators" cannot be there when these events occur, and they rarely understand the complete scope of the problem. This mother took the proper channels, but what can she do when it didn't work? We need adults who will explain actions, consequences, and how society will deal with those that hurt others. Other students are watching-- and good citizens are made when children choose to be kind, compassionate, and to have empathy for others.

They know the school wasn’t doing anything about the bullying and as parent I would have done the same thing. And as matter of fact I did only my daughters incident concerned a teacher bullying a 7 year old and yes I did threaten to beat the hell out this substitute teacher, but it didn’t happen again. You may not like the outcome however if you have been going through the proper channels and no change has come then as parent you end up taking matters into your own hands to rectify the situation. So I agree with this parents discussion.

My son was bullied on a regular basis both covert and overt. I notified the school, supported him having conversations with him and letting him know how to navigate through those situations. Nothing helped. He was in a school of privileged kids and they ignored my cries. When my son finally was able to stick up for himself they gave him a detention. They began targeting him and eventually I pulled him out of the school. I don't blame this mother one bit. Our children are resilient beings and she was patient and followed the proper protocols. as women of color we navigate our lives everyday this way we're patient we see the b******* but we try to reason with people of privilege. we know that if it were our children bullying they would immediately be held accountable. Better schools also come with children with distorted perceptions about privilege. Everything balances out in the end but her frustration her response made me emotional cuz I know exactly where she was when she made the decision to act outside of her character. Bravo Mama you're not crazy.

Wow it’s amazing how they trying to make the mom look bad you have children everyday being bullied and the school system not doing anything about it so why bash the mom for trying to save her daughter you have kids dying or committing suicide all because nothing being done about it kudos to the mom now this is what you call a mom or texting her daughter which she suppose to do you have some moms out here who don’t care 🤷♀️ and let anything happen to their child 💯💯💯💯💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

She handled this wrong. She needed to go after the bully's parents. My son was bullied and knocked off of his bike in the park once and I took him back and had him point them out and had each kid take me to their house and I told the parents what they did and said I could call the police and file a report right then and there and sue them or they could handle their child. Amazing how cooperative even the most lazy parent becomes when they realize their child's behavior is gonna cost them $$$. One kid's mom started beating his ass while I was still standing in the doorway.

This happened to me. I was the bullied girl and an ex friend of mine got her mom to believe I was the bully and she threatened me and I was terrified. When I told administration they laughed and did nothing and said I was the problem. That’s right a 39 to 40-year-old woman got in an 11-year-old’s face and threatened to smash it in after I had been bullied by her and her friends.

Charges should be filed against the boys that were bullying her daughter in the first place 🤷🏾 While they're at it, something should be done about the school administration that allowed it to go on.

"keep it cool and professional?" Bullies don't give a flying 2 f***s what you're saying, they can still antagonized and terrorizing and even threatened your kid with a knife in school and that don't work, you need to put your foot down or otherwise they'll violate their parent's daughter or your daughter ( but I don't know if you had a daughter) until bullies get what they want.

I get both sides. But the mother ,now has marked her at that school. She will never have a friend. The school really needs to do more about bullies. Those kids thought that shit was funny.

@@tomsocala3158 The problem is, that these are high school kids. You can't go there and whip up on kids. She should have called in the parents and told them that she would have their kids arrested and maybe even them!! She's pissed and I would be to. But she should have thought it out better. Gotten the right people behind her. She seems to be very smart.

@@whynot2644Not true, seen it many times but not the way the mom did it, in a classroom. THey were confronted outside of school by his cousins and older brother. They basically came up to the kids and said any one of you guys got a problem with my brother/cousin, you can say it to me. They never bothered that kid again, he actually became friends with alot of those guys.

The parent of these boys (you moms and dads) need to do something. You are bad parents not Mrs. Tinsley. This kind of bullying and sexual harassment from boys to one innocent girl in middle school should be banned as should your boys. SHAME ON THIS SCHOOL. Kick these kids out and make school in my state safe for all kids.
@lindsaydonovan32363 жыл бұрын
If teachers and administrators had done their jobs, she wouldn’t have had to do this. I applaud her for this. Kids take their own lives over this stuff. God HELP ME if I EVER lose one of my children over bullying. The boy who took his life in my school’s parents sued the bullies parents and won. The bullies went to his funeral crying like they weren’t the reason his mom and dad no longer had their son, and his sister no longer had her brother. It’s despicable and unacceptable, they deserve jail time.

So they are wondering about security for her(mom) however they could care less that this mom possibly prevented her child's suicide and actually resolved the bullying?!? She didn't touch a child, she defended her daughter. What do they expect her to do as a mother if she followed protocols prior to this and the school won't do it?!?
