Persona 5: The Animation is a Total Waste of Time

Persona 5 the Animation is a bland, safe adaptation that's ok at best. But what's the purpose of that kind of show existing, when the game is already a far better anime?

Actually watched the anime before I played the game, so I thought everyone who kept saying P5 was a masterpiece lied. Then I ended up buying the game because it was on sale, and the difference was EXTREMELY noticeable.

I don't think the show is that bad. HOWEVER, the game is an ABSOLUTE MUST and will give you a much better experience than watching the show.

I think the p4 anime was WAY better. Sure it wasn’t perfect but the characters didn’t feel like cardboard cut outs and they followed the story pretty well.

The problem is that this would need to be a long running mutli season show. Like one palace per season mixed with a different confidant every season.

P3 Movie - art style and animation are amazing, a bit rushed on the story but what can you do.

The only redeeming feature it has is some of the dubbed lines, and that’s thanks to the fantastic English VAs. Ryuji yelling yeet is never gonna leave me.

I simply look at it as another gateway into the Persona franchise. I originally got into P4 after watching "the animation" because I was so intrigued in the characters. Its the same with this 1. After watching the Daybreakers OVA I was excited to play the game.
