Don't get me wrong, I love Holkenborg's Music, but McCreary gave the toho monsters the best versions of their original theme. I do wish they brought him back so he can work with Holkenborg, maybe give him some tips on how to truly adapt the the themes of the toho monsters.

@@darthdracul8372 I do think Holkenborg's music is wonderful, but the problem I had was it didn't have a memorable hook or melody like McCreary's defining Mothra suite. Holkenborg's just blended in with the rest of the OST, to the point that I didn't even realize Mothra had an official OST in GxK until I saw the playlist after. Also prob doesn't help that the similarity of these themes to Holkenborg's work in the DCEU (this is natural, every composer has some similarity between soundtracks) was too much to make this really definitive as a Monsterverse soundtrack for me, unlike McCreary who's work with KOTM was very well isolated tonally and instrument wise from his other works (God of War, Lord of the Rings, etc.).

I was watching the movie and I just thought to myself. This would sound so much better with the king of the monsters soundtrack for Mothra was singing her theme to myself. I watched her appear on screen.

It would be great if Ilene Chen and Ling Chen replaced Jia in the movie, so it's like classic Mothra. Wingard seems to be making the movie in a hurry, just look at Godzilla who evolves too quickly and can change its color quickly 💀

They better make a movie with the three alphas as the main instead of just Zilla and Kong, GMK sounds cool, those three compliment each other really well, Godzilla excels in under water combat (and land too of course), Kong being the smart and nimblest excel in land combat, and Mothra covers the air combat as well as her supportive & defensive abilities, super cool

Whoever made the music for godzilla x Kong completely missed the mark. You cant capture the majesty of mothra with that futuristic sounding version that they made of her song. It doesn’t fit her aesthetic.

No, each character has their own theme music for their appearance in scenes, this is Mothra's theme music that faithfully followed the classic. The second theme only took this detail from her
