Yup. Saw it yesterday. A Godzilla fan I know said several themes in _GKotM_ were carry-overs from their original versions, so here I am. Not a Godzilla 'fan', but have seen a handful of them over time. I really enjoy the Legendary Goji movies 'cause they eliminate a lot of the in-your-face cheese of the classic Toho movies that I have trouble getting over.

As a man, this is my first time I'm crying while watching a movie. When she's opened her wings for the first time. This song is playing, and then she's going to call Godzilla and the girl says mothra, the queen of the monsters. I'm crying 😭😭😭

I didn't see the theme song on anywhere cause I didn't want to be spoiled. Once it graced my ears at the movie today I was desperately trying my best not to scream in joy (In fact I was trying hard not to scream throughtout the movie).

I don't speak a word of indonesian, but with minor mistranslations and assuming the song repeats itself both in indonesian and japanese, we can be in front of some language differences making a proper translation impossible if not knowing both languages. If you can provide the right translation from indonesian would be interesting to compare.

True. But for some reason a lot of people don't like Mothra. Most of them thinks she is too weak. But I disagree with them.

LunarKid0 I disagree with the majority in that field too. I mean, she tends to hold her own as well as any of the monsters, she just tends to... I want to say heroically sacrifice herself a lot, plus she seems to, by gamer standards, tank quite a bit, drawing a lot of the attention to herself to protect others. Besides, EVERY monster in the Godzilla universe has died at LEAST once, with very few exceptions. Bash Mothra though they might, if staying alive throughout the franchise were the criteria for a great monster, then "Minila Vs. Jet Jaguar" would be the movie fans were desperately waiting for, as they're the only two I can think of off the top of my head who have never been killed in one way or another. And the day they make THAT movie is the day you'll find me on a high ledge singing "I Believe I Can Fly", let me tell ya! Eh, to sum up my longwinded response, I agree with you!

@@aceyspud551 I mean mothra was a classic monster movie in the west and the east, also if I were to be honest with you, I think they would've approach the twins like the tribe from skull island, in skull island the tribesmen treat king Kong like a god, so I feel like it should be the same here, or have the twins be little girls if they want to be realistic, but I don't think western people won't be weirded out over this, our monster was a 50 foot ape that had a love interest in a girl and fought a t Rex on an island, so I don't think legendary are not afraid to show this type of approach on mothra, I think they'll be a beautiful touch and creative approach in the monster verse in my opinion

They don’t even need them as pixies proper. The latest batch of Godzilla movies out of Japan just had cuts to random twins when She would hatch from Her cocoon or show up in the film for the first time, wherever appropriate, as an homage. Barely but a few frames in the films, but a nod to the original pair in the older continuities. Subtle and nice. And I can do without the twins, so long as they don’t Americanize Her and make Her just another dumb monster.
