Why do you dance, or try to dance, Cuban salsa CONTRA TIEMPO ? You are probably the only team in the whole world who dances SON MONTUNO CONTRA TIEMPO. I can understand you coming from Son to like to dance On2. But YOU ARE THE EXCEPTION IF YOU DANCE CASINO ON2. All over the world everybody dances casino on1. So your students will have problems when they dance with other Cuban salsa dancers because those dancers will be dancing on1 and your students will be dancing on2. Cuban dancers from Cuba will usually put a little son in their casino some of the time... But they will be dancing casino on1. But what I cannot tell is whether you were influenced by son or you were influenced by salsa on2 (NY style). It most of your dances you have the long forward and backward step that is characteristic of the "traveling" in NY salsa.(and LA salsa too) Casino has a very short backward and forward step because you have to go around the dama. You can't do that if you have a very long forward and backward step like you are dancing NY salsa.

It's possible that they are influenced by Puerto Rican style where the lead moves forward on2. But I agree that it's most common on1.

The only one who looks natural is the Cuban girl...the rest, I guess good effort but they all look very clumsy and/or stiff...I suggest taking up golf or snooker....or even badminton LOL

It's likely you just have limited experience with Latin dancing. That's often the case when judging things like dance when you are unfamiliar. That will just come with time though. Keep on dancing.

@@chadaeaton are you referring to me? If you are it's clear that you have no idea about salsa as it is obvious that their movements are clumsy, unnatural and lack flow. Yeah...I've only been dancing for about 25 years and lived in Latin America most of my life ...fool

@@theawakening2611 Yep, I'm referring to you. I've met a lot of dancers over the years and many of them have been dancing for 15+ years and never really got the hang of it. Neither physically nor intellectually. My gut tells me that you fall into that category. NONE of the good and great dancers would ever criticize another dancer like that. I guarantee you are not a good dancer...mediocre at best.

@@chadaeaton well, you are a fool because you have no basis as you have not seen me. I dance like a native as I have not learned from silly classes and choreographies. The fact that you don't see that the people in the video do not dance well makes me understand that you haven't got a clue. I dread to think how you dance. And of course native Latin Americans criticise "gringo" when they dance. We do it all the time. I give you a clue: the AJR stand for Antonio José. Now just let it rest...you already have looked very silly

@@theawakening2611 I'm now 100% certain you don't dance at all and just simply watch it on youtube. And you definitely aren't native to Latin America. Your mommy and daddy may have taken you there on vacation once or twice. You've been exposed.
