For this challenge, we looked up 7 rules to avoid getting sick at theme parks, and then break every single one of them. my boyfriend who never gets motion sick, rode forbidden journey and got so sick on that ride. Me, on the other hand, who gets sick after a 5 minute car ride somehow loved the ride and went on multiple times not getting sick-so weird!

I could not ride the forbidden journey the first time I went to UO. The second trip I asked my doctor to prescribe me a scopolamine patch. Worked awesomely!

That’s amazing! We see a LOT of people with the patches behind their ear. Thankfully Dramamine does the trick for Tyler on the rare occasion that he starts feeling sick!

I find that Dramamine (over the counter motion sickness pills) are great at preventing motion sickness. If you know that motion sickness is going to ruin your trip, pop a pill before you arrive, and another at lunchtime. It always helps me immensely!

Oh absolutely! We always carry some for Tyler, but we don’t suggest that to people since we’re not medical professionals. They do have Dramamine at med services, too if you need it!

Forbidden journey can be such a miserable ride if you get motion sickness. I've seen it take out many people.

That is an amazing superpower! I can do most rides, but Forbidden Journey and anything that spins are my kryptonite. If you've ever had motion sickness you will avoid it at all costs!

I feel terrible for people that get it! The only reason I did this was because I was 99% sure nothing would bother me. Getting sick at a theme park sounds terrible! Lol

What surprised me was the first ride I went on at IOA was forbidden journey. I started to panic when I saw all the motion sickness warning signs because I cant do anything that spins. Surprisingly it ended up being one of my favorite attractions LOL

Same I got so sick on guardians definitely closest I've come to losing my lunch. I get sick on the airplane even with Dramamine. But I still love the rides just don't go upside down and take lots of breaks

Anna, you are a rockstar!! My husband and I have to take Dramamine before we arrive at the parks to avoid motion sickness. Even with Dramamine the first time I rode Simpsons and Forbidden Journey I was still feeling it (not as bad this past year though).

I wish I didn't experience motion sickness. Universal offers several rides that make me terrible sick. I'm jealous of your lack of motion sickness. 😁 Forbidden Journey would be my all time favorite ride if I didn't get so motion sickness every single time.

That’s probably the biggest complaint we hear about all the 3d rides. They’re fun, unless you just can’t handle them :(

i rode the simpsons ride sober and with just a light healthy meal in my stomach, and couldn’t keep my eyes open past the first 10 seconds. that ride is rough! watching you do it trying to get sick was crazy haha

I'm in awe of Anna not getting sick at all. The coasters don't get to me, but the rides with a screen and the car moving around get me so bad. Last time I road Simpsons, my eyes were shut the whole time and I felt sick anyway.

Yes, Tyler needs to do a “follow the rules” challenge! My boyfriend and I rode forbidden journey 3 time and no sickness. Even had a beer right before riding. Simpson’s didn’t bother us either!

Anna should try the intense (orange) version of mission Space in Epcot! The ride literally has a puke bag at every seat. Also it wasn't intentional, but I love alcohol, sugary drinks, and spicy food so I have all of those during rides. I also LOVE the last row of velocicoaster so I feel really lucky having not experienced any motion sickness in universal!

The *only* thing that keeps me from getting motion sickness are ginger capsules and they work extremely well. I still won't chance it with Simpsons (or spinners). The coasters and hogwarts make me ill without it (I still have to close my eyes at times in hogwarts and spiderman). The first and last time I rode the Simpsons was when it was Back to the Future and I spent the rest of the day in the hotel room very green. Ginger capsules - 2 every few hours. Works great. (Look up the mythbusters motion sickness video and they confirm it works - that's where I learned about it). Anna - I need to send you some hot sauce... Love you both - thanks for the fun!

They have ginger chews at guest services for this very reason!! I LOVE mythbusters too by the way lol. It’s the best! I never got to ride BTTF, but I’ve heard Simpson’s is worse for motion sickness, so probably a good idea avoiding that one! I’m terrible with spicy foods, but I’ll try it!! 🤣

I normally don't have motion sickness, but rode batman ride at six flags ga backwards couple 5 years ago, i was drunker than a bicycle for the rest of the day. 😵💫

My motion sickness is so bad that I skipped even the not-so-bad attractions (like Gringotts and The Mummy) because I was so worried they would get me nauseated for the rest of the day. I got queasy on the Kong's TRUCK. Like, that part where you are still going inside the cave. Before the 3D part. I had to close my eyes in the "swing" part 🤦♀ I'm so jealous right now, this is like a super power lol

I get super motion sick and The Mummy is no big deal. I didn't even feel a hint of motion sickness, while Spider-Man single-handedly wiped me out for 3 hours. I'd recommend trying it if you ever come back. Definitely don't do Gringotts though. It was fine for me but I could feel hints of it. More trouble than it is worth

It always brings smile to my face to see your new videos! If you want to keep trying to get motion sick, I would recommend going on the more intense side of Mission Space at Epcot. Make sure to look side to side while riding, and close your eyes while moving your head. I used to work at a different ride at Epcot, and I definitely heard some stories about that ride haha

My hubs and I BOTH got sick after Harry potters journey ride…first day and second ride of the day…turns out that the pizza tots were the perfect medicine. The kabobs were not helpful which is what we first bought before the tots. After that, I just stopped wearing the 3D glasses. My husband didn’t get sick on the other rides that we did but we both felt “off” after the hulk. We avoided the Simpsons ride, Fallon, and the spinning rides. Top favorites were velocicoaster (best coaster I’ve been on) and Hagrids.

OK! I’m happy to give you guys a thumbs up, but I would never ask anyone who already knows that they get motion sickness to put themselves in that situation. I get so sick with the tiniest bit of motion, and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy, I took 8 mg of Zofran and STILL threw up after the for bidden journey. This makes me so sad because that ride is amazing. Anna, you are one blessed girl!

Oh my gosh, that’s terrible! Zolfran is a heck of a drug, I’m impressed you weren’t asleep on the floor 30 minutes after taking it! Lol I feel terrible for people that suffer from motion sickness, and the only reason I wanted to do this was because I was 99.9% sure I wouldn’t have the slightest issue. I have a feeling Tyler will eventually do this.. for science! 😂

I get so sick on many simulator rides now that I'm holder (43). I used to be able to ride anything and everything when I was younger. I'm bringing Bonine and "non-drowsy" Dramamine to the parks for my husband and me when we go in a couple of weeks. I would love to see a video of Tyler trying out one of those OTC medicines and doing some of the other things you are supposed to do. I'm dreading The Simpsons because I know my kids will want to ride it multiple times. I was feeling sick just watching the POV on YT! 🤮Another great video...Also, I love your dress!

The sickest I’ve been at the parks was at an OI meetup. Ate pretty good and did back to back rides on Velocicoaster. Maybe try a few subsequent rides on that one?

I ran into you both during my trip this week three separate times by pure chance! Thank you for being so friendly, nice, and letting me take a picture! Also Tyler threw beads at me from the Mardi Gras float, that was a fun surprise I will always remember!

Great Video! I loved Tyler's face - especially when drinking the lemonade! haha - I love that you can take something informative and make it fun and funny.... My Hubs gets Motion Sick - he uses the patch that goes behind your ear and it helps him a lot. I on the other hand have Anna's steal stomach... Thank you!

My wife gets motion sickness if her eyes can’t focus. Not the motion itself. We can ride Hagrids and Hulk over and over. So it’s not motion. But rides like HP, transformers , Spider-Man will make her sick. She can close her eyes and just ride with no problem. When we rode Fallon in the front row I could barely focus on the screen so I get it. Tyler if you have any vision issues that could be it.

That’s interesting! I think the 3D screens get a lot of people more than the coasters do. Something about your brain having a hard time guessing which direction you’re about to move is what I’ve read! It’s really strange! Lol

Another great video from my favourite 2 KZfaqrs guys you have just done a video close to my heart as I have to take motion sickness tablets for certain 3d.andv4d rides guys feel sick and feel like crappie at times I don't go on simpsons and that Anna my boys always take the crap out of me and laugh at me so me and Tyler are exactly the same so we'll done pal for the video

I have a tip. Instead of closing eye, on simulation attractions, like Minions, do the opposite. Look at the ride vehicle next to you. That way your brain adjusts to the actual movement, instead of the screen.

Ginger chews work wonders. I take a Dramamine an hour before going to the park with a meal, after a few rides If I'm feeling a little nauseous I eat some ginger chews and it helps settle my stomach. Of course I avoid riding anything that spins, Forbidden Journey, and Simpsons ride. Rode Simpsons for the first ride of the night with my kids at last years Informer, forgot the ginger chews at home and it ruined my night.
