Oh I now know the inlet that other channel in Miami was talking about and yeah this one is more extreme! Good job interesting seeing sail yachts in this inlet and how they cope so much better than the motor boats.

Yeah i believe you talk about Miami Haulover inlet, it is also very impressive because a lot of traffic there and a strong out current in some days. A very good spot for hull testing and driving training

Hello from the UK Alex! Thank you for your videos, I found your channel from the Miami Haulover videos. The white boat in particular is interesting, i'm not sure if it has a rudder but it shows an issue people can miss by going too slowly. If waves are passing your boat from behind it means the relative movement of water to your rudder is back to front. That means your rudder controls can temporarily reverse direction, you can suddenly find yourself steering in the wrong direction and the more you try and correct the worse it gets! Its always safest to come in at wave speed if you can, or count the waves and come in when its calmer if you're too slow. Hesitating and coming in too slow can result in control reversal and disaster.

Bonjour toujours impressionante les image des fou furieu pour qui heureusement la sortie se fini bien mais le capitaine est vraiement idiot de penser que par une mer aussi former ils pouraient sortir a capbreton avec sa barque et en plus avec un enfant a bord et certain qui n'ont pas de gilet qui comme le casque en moto le gilet devrait être obligatoire pour sortir en mer Allez la fin approche bientot de nouvelle image bon courage et bonne santé a tous et rester confiné

It's not an easy bar crossing. I'm astounded at what they do get away with. There's a nice shallow bit on the starboard side on exit and an Atlantic swell with waves hidden by the breakwater. All the things we need to make life more interesting for us couch sailors.
