If you motion to suppress a laptop that is confirmed to contain evidence can they then file for a search warrant for the laptop on the grounds that they know it contains evidence?

No because those are two separate actions cases. The first case the motion to suppress nullified whatever evidence they needed to have the charges stick concerning the laptop, so for them to be able to get a warrant they would need a whole new complaint and charges filed a whole new separate case to then motion for a search warrant for the laptop.
