The New Convenant speaks of being a cheerful giver not a cheerful tither. We can never outgive God: we dont give to be blessed, but we give because we are blessed. Like Ephesians 2 it says we are saved to do good works. Corinthians we should not give under compulsian but what we have purposed in our hearts. The real picture of the church is found in the book of Acts, they gave to those in need, not to enrich the preacher. I love to be generous in Gods kingdom. Pastor Vlad you are precious

We want to prosper that’s why many fall for Malachi 3:7-12 without studying the scripture. This was addressed to the eleven tribes of Israel the Levites being exempted because they are temple workers(the high priest, priests and the rest) The Levites were given the responsibility of collecting the tithe and part of it was their inheritance. When Jesus Christ became our High Priest that office of the Levites was abolished. The Levites ran out of business because the one perfect sacrifice has been offered. Besides Jesus ordered the temple to be demolished. That was the end of tithe for the Levites. So after the cross there was no more tithe and to support Jesus ministry the scriptures say go to 2 Corinthians 9:6- . Now every believer is a priest- 1 Peter 2:9 and Revelation 1:5-6. Tradition is what many preachers are following e.g. Christmas, Easter, etc Jesus never asked us to do them.

In a world dominated by money it says a lot to tithe. I understand the spirit that comes upon those who are offended by the subject, but while God Loves us all, Tithing is one way to separate ourselves from the world, and even separate ourselves from believers who don’t obey the Law. I pray that God abundantly rewards those who been faithful to the Law.

Law is fulfilled by Jesus on the cross so we don't need to follow any other law. If tithing was so important Jesus would have said at least once to tithe and none of his disciples even practiced in the new testament. If you want to live under the law then try to fulfill the rest of the law as well like circumcision etc

Tithing wasn't "giving" in the bible since it was compulsory. Biblical tithes were not received as money, and the ceremonial and civil ordinances that facilitated tithing under the Old covenant are obsolete. We are free to give and we are able and convicted but not bound to pay money to a religious institution (or anywhere else).
@vladhungrygen

Tithing was returning, not giving. You're correct. Jesus said don’t leave tithing undone. Jesus upholds the tithe in Matthew 23:23 (cf. Luke 11:42). He condemns the Pharisees for their tedious commitment to one part of God’s law, the tithe, while neglecting “the weightier matters of justice, mercy, and faithfulness.” Then he states, “These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.” The Greek word translated “ought” (dei) in the ESV is strong and indicates a necessity. We could translate as follows: “You must do these things, and you must not neglect those things.” For us tithing is not about the law, but an old ritual practiced before the law of putting God first. God asked for the first born to be dedicated to Him. God has asked for the first fruits to be given to Him. Jericho, the first city in the Promised Land, to be given to Him. In Matthew 6:33, seek first the Kingdom of God. God wants to be first in our finances, and the way we put Him first is by giving it to Him. I believe that God can do more with 90% than we can do with 100%. But everyone needs to be generous and give as they purpose in their heart.

@@vladhungrygen I believe in giving as well and I agree with some of the things you've written... but answer me this; Eph 2:20 "And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;" ... And according to scholars Paul's ministry was above 25 years + and had never mentioned tithe not even by mistake then how did you come up with it especially MONEY TITHE? and everything you quote from the OT without finding a fulfillment in Christ on the Cross then you're enslaving people of God... and oh what about the saints who never PAID 10% of their salary, did they not honor God by freewill giving? I believe in giving but you people love to twist scriptures to make them mean what you want them to mean.... many people left churches and they don't give because of these types of teachings which are in ERROR... 2 Peter 1:20 "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation" With this in mind, we should see a lot of tithes and offerings in the NT which is not there...all I'm seeing you quoting is Solomon and Malachi whom Christ Jesus came to FULFILL !! and these men are not even part of the Ecclessia

@markb7067
@markb7067 Жыл бұрын
@@vladhungrygenThanks for your feedback. Sorry, I just noticed it. In response... I didn't say "tithing was returning". I said anything compulsory cannot be considered a gift. Biblical, systematic tithes were compulsory submissions of consumable items facilitated through ceremonial ordinances under Mosaic Law. That's not a "gift". That's a tax. And ceremonial ordinances under Mosiac Law that supported the Old Covenant system of atonement are now obsolete. They also didn't extend beyond Israel. In Mathew 23:23 Jesus is chastising the Pharisees while acknowledging they were carrying out the ceremonial act of tithing. Notice the reference to "mint, dill, and cumin", not money. Again, that ordinance is now obsolete. The "first fruits" weren't tithes and tithing was not ever referred to as a "principle" in the bible. The first fruits were heave offerings small enough to fit in a small basket, taken to the temple where they were consumed. Again, it consisted of consumable items, not money. At no point did God or Jesus ever ask anyone for their money. Not the first, or the last of it. Tithing as it is practiced today has no biblical precedent. There's nothing wrong with practicing it if one chooses to, there's just no biblical mandate for anyone to pay 10% of the earnings to a religious institution. Not New Testament, or Old. God isn't a mob boss or a slot machine. We're free to give, not bound to pay.

Tithing was algriculture not money to support the levites.
@waynemcghie6500
@waynemcghie6500 Жыл бұрын
Here are a few key points that everyone needs to understand, on the topic of tithing: (1) Levites receive tithes, and no one else. God Himself mandated this (see Numbers 18:21-22). (2) The tithe of Abraham to Melchizeded was a tithe of tradition, not religion, becasue there were no religious or legal requirement to tithe, as he did. (3) The tithe promised by Jacob was similarly one of tradition, not a religious observance (4) No gentile has ever been required to tithe in the Old testament. Only Jews. And only to Levites, because of Numbers 18:21-22. (5) No gentile has ever been asked to tithe in the New Testament, and certainly, not the church (6) Every mention to tithe in the New Testament was directed to Jews, as was required by the law of Moses, never to Gentiles (7) Gentile believers were never required to live by the law of Moses in the New Testament; this law is what mandated tithing. Concerning giving, or tithing, or prosperity, Malachi 3:8-12 is not the full counsel of God. It is an excerpt, quoted to the church for centuries (believe it or not), which is a misrepresentation of God's counsel. We've accepted it because that's what we have always been taught. If you're interested in learning more, check out "Tither, You Are Free!", available on Amazon.

There you are saying that when the Jews gave their tithes, they were giving payment to levites?
@waynemcghie6500
@waynemcghie6500 11 ай бұрын
@@chrislara1943 That is true. Here is what Numbers 18:21 says, *"To the Levites I have given every tithe in Israel* for an inheritance, in return for their service that they do, their service in the tent of meeting." So, indeed, the Levites were appointed by God to receive the tithes. No one else. There is no place in the entire bible *-- Old or New Testament --* where anyone other than a Levite was ever appointed to receive tithes. Read that sentence again, it is important. No pastor has ever been scripturally appointed or authorized to collect tithes. You cannot be "cursed with a curse" (Malachi 3:9) for not tithing because (1) unless you are a Jew, you were never appointed to tithe, (2) even if you are a Jew, tithing was meant to support Levites as they served in the Jewish tabernacle under the Law of Moses, and (3) the Law of Moses is no longer in effect because the New Testament law of Grace in Christ has replaced it. You are free in Christ. Give to the best that you are able. Five percent, ten percent, fifty percent, whatever you are able. It is between you and God. You cannot be cursed or judged for not giving to a standard that God has not set for the New Testament church. The only thing to remember is Luke 6:38, "Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full-pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. *The amount you give will determine the amount you get back."* The New Testament standard of giving is, *to the best that you can.* That might only be one percent, or it might be ninety percent. What you are able to give is a matter between you and God alone. Not between you and the pastor.

@waynemcghie6500
@waynemcghie6500 9 ай бұрын
@@MissGraceGlory it is my great honor to share with you the truths that the Holy Spirit has revealed to me. I will get to the point because there is much on this topic, and it is easy to get carried away with the information. To begin, what instructions did the apostles give to the church concerning tithing? That is a short answer: There are no scriptures that require the New Testament (NT) church to tithe. People tithed in the Old Testament (OT) under the law of Moses. But we are now under grace, and the OT has been put to rest. (Read Hebrews 9 for more on this.) So then, what do we have? I will take you to the church, during the days of the apostles, so you can see for yourself. Let’s look through the eyes of scriptures and see what Paul’s instructions for the church were. Starting with 2 Corinthians 9:1-2, Paul said, “I really don’t need to write to you about this ministry of giving for the believers in Jerusalem. For I know how eager you are to help, and I have been boasting to the churches in Macedonia that you in Greece were ready to send *an offering* a year ago.” When the church got together, they gave offerings, to the extent that they could afford: 3%, 5%, 10%, 50% … whatever they could afford. Never a tithe, because that was OT. We are no longer under the OT. For example, in chapter 9, verses 6-8, Paul says, “Remember this-a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. *You must each decide in your heart how much to give.* And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” Notice that the standard of giving was not 10% (a tithe). The scripture said, *you decide* how much to give. The point is, your giving is between you and God. The motivation to give generously is spoken out in verse 8, “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” We see the same thing in 1 Corinthians 16, verses 1-3. Paul says, “Now regarding your question about the money being collected for God’s people in Jerusalem. You should follow *the same procedure I gave to the churches in Galatia.* On the first day of each week, you should each put aside *a portion* of the money you have earned. Don’t wait until I get there and then try to collect it all at once.” Again, in all this giving, noting was said about tithing, because tithing was never required of the NT church. So, how much is “a portion”? We saw that the scriptures say, “You must each decide in your heart how much to give.” *You decide!* I want to also point out that the church, under the apostles, was not run the way it is run today. The money they collected was “for God’s people,” wherever the need was. That is what we see in Acts 6:1, when they were ministering to widows. Speaking of Acts, recall the story of Ananias and Sapphira, in Acts 5? (Read the whole chapter if you are not familiar with that story.). Peter said to them in chapter 5, verse 4, “The property was yours to sell or not sell, as you wished. And after selling it, *the money was also yours* to give away.” Did you hear that? Here, too, we see that Peter never called upon any 10% standard. No requirement to tithe was communicated. The sin they committed was in the fact that they lied. Not in how much they chose to give. I could go on and on. We have been blinded by false doctrine on tithing. In short, we are called to give. Generously. To the fullest that we are able. But God has never commanded the NT church to tithe. If you want to dig deeper and gain more knowledge on this topic, why not get a copy of my book, “Tither You Are Free”? it’s available on Amazon. Space and time does not allow me to say more. Be blessed!

"Contend for the faith," not the law. All things written in the bible is FOR us , but not all things written in the bible is TO us; some things are written to Jews and NOT to the Gentiles. We live after the cross in the dispensation of the Church age or the kingdom of God. A tenth can be given as free willed offerings, as was with Abram; it was not commanded by God to Abram. A tithe (ten percent) or tithing ten percent is not initiated by Abram (Abram is not higher than God) but solely by and put into effect by LAW. Centuries later God COMMANDS the Levites to TAKE tithes from THEIR bretheren because they had no inheritance and lived by the tithe; although Levi was in the loins of Abram when Abram (GAVE A TENTH AND NOT PAID A TITHE) to Melchizedek. One had to be of the blood-linege of Aaron to take tithes. Those whom are not, are in breach of God's order for taking tithes from the assembly; thereby exposing the assembly to lack of giving cheerfully, and other related money problems as satan would have it.

IF you cause your pastor to break the 10TH commandment he will be lost because he broke Yahweh's 10TH commandment BUT you will be lost also because you caused your pastor to SIN by breaking Yahweh's commandments. FEARFUL Inspired scriptures.

Begging for money is not GODS WILL , & this speaker is no different than a person on the side of the road with cardboard sign begging for money , open your eyes people salvation comes by believing, Grace is what God does in you & GOD IS NOT AFTER YOUR MONEY ,HES AFTER YR HEART ❤️
