Japanese jujutsu is in my oppinion one of the best fighting discipline one can learn. Staying calm while being alert, without fear is the real test. The battle is won and lost in your mind. Be dangerous without having to fight.

Being a ninja is almost never fighting. To be a ninja is to have a ninja mind, to have ninja qualities, behavior, attitude, way of reasoning. Ninjas weren't even great fighters, as the movies show. This is the biggest misconception. In antiquity they were spies and their mission was to obtain information and go unnoticed (ie, avoid fights). The ninja is a strategist. When everyone looks to one side, the ninja looks at all the options and plans his mission to be a success so that no one can predict his steps. To be a ninja is to be the surprise effect. The unexpected. The unpredictable.

The word "ninja" did not exist in Japanese dialects until within the past 100 years. The original ninja trainings were books of certain strategy that various SAMURAI clans would study and employ. The term "ninja" comes from an older word; shinobe no mono. Japan didnt put any serious academic study into actual ninja history until 2013. I have a high respect for the samurai culture and therefore, the ninja. They are cut from the same clothe.

The movements in tenchu 3 and tenchu z and dark souls are ugly. Tenchu 1 and 2 moved like real ninjas. In 3 and z and dark souls, they glide strangely uglyly
