Not familiar with any of the other songs off of Motley Crue Saints of Los Angeles album but the song the animal in me has been my favorite motley crue song of the modern era in my opinion this is the only band from their generation that's still holds up today

Face Down in the Dirt is the best song on this record. It's a shame they don't play it live, it's better than Saints of LA. They never really update their setlist, so it doesn't make sense to keep going to see the same show, year after year. I can design some awesome setlists for them. This would be a great opening song, just like it is for this record.

@@chrisbond6406 were decent and your opinion is very subjective otherwise they would not be having such success with a new legion of fans. Regardless of The Crüe and their ability to perform or lack thereof, they continue to tour to nearly sold out stadium venues. These venues aren't some 5 or 6000 seat auditoriums. I saw them on The Stadium Tour and their Farewell Tour and I've been to well close to 100 concerts but I've enjoyed seeing them both times and would see them again if the chance arises. It's not all about the perfection of the music. Some of you all have these unattainable high expectations that Mötley Crüe have NEVER attained since they formed the band. We all know Nikki Sixx is very far from being even a good bass player but Mick and Tommy Lee? Great musicians and Vince? Well Vince is just Vince, no one expects much from poor Vince but he always somehow delivers. I saw the very first show on The Stadium Tour and I could disect the shit out of it but instead I think I'll just enjoy being able to still see the Crüe. Even though Mick is gone. For these guys to all be still alive is a testament to their ability to beat all the odds and the many mishaps and mistakes that young, hard partying, death defying dudes tend to make especially when they have access to all the debauchery they could handle. Mötley Crüe are the EPITOME OF SEX, DRUGS AND ROCK AND ROLL. They've lived it and they've sung about it. Even died for a few minutes but look at em go... STILL KICKING ASS

This song could easily be ascribed to Greenday, Foo Fighters, QOTSA or The Offspring. Even Blur or Bloc Party might had been the artists of origin… Great song, by the way. I guess someone else but Vince was on vocals?
