It might have been because of the rubbing method or all the methods combined up until 4:40. Also my phone was a Motorola G9 Play and this video has my approval.

Damn thanks for this I've been holding the volume and power button for 15 seconds and it will still get stuck but then I just hit power off from the safe mode then turn it back on then do it again and it boots up but I tried the just holding the power button and it worked much better thanks again

Yup, first approach fixed it, and mine's a G Play 2021! Amazing. You saved me much time and angst. I wonder if it's related that for the first time, my phone could not find GPS today. I got "Searching for GPS" and the route map but no directions. A second, maybe related question: I just got, and often have before, a popup saying my modem service keeps stopping; do I want to turn it off? I don't know, do I? Seems like then maybe nothing would work... Your thoughts, please, sir.

What about the android bootloader method?: Hold the power, and both volume buttons until you see a black screen. When that happens after about 2 seconds you should see a android laying on the ground with his chestplate open. When that happens, scroll with your volume buttons down to "Power Off". That should (hopefully) end the boot loop. Thank you! Great video.

nothing is working..been beating the crap out of it..i get into bios, but when i select something it just goes straight back to looping/flashing, so i can't run recovery mode either...it's flashing between black screen and boot screen(blue screen with Moto logo) with like 3 sec intervals. Moto G6 plus btw. Anyone got any advice?

Hey man I appreciate it and it worked BUT.Id like to add a little info. On my second attempt right before I went to the freezer I removed my cover and removed the battery and replaced it and the phone is On.This phone has been stuck for a year and the battery would not charge(0%) so it wasn't just removing and reinstalling the batt. I've done that many times.and nothing no charge and off on off on...... So it was your process and the 2nd freezer time may have worked as well.Bur as of now . Its charging and no looping.So thanks and maybe someone will read this and it may help I was about to trash it,now maybe my friend can use it that's why I got it back out.Thanks again and good luck everyone

I know this is a year ago. Best thing before doing any whacking. Just hold the power and up volume button button. This will boot phone into the boot menu. After the security update my g power shutdown and would not come on. Searched with a older slower phone and found this fix. Make sure you hold both until you see it boot to doss menu. Use the volume keys to move up and down in the. When you get to the one you want. Press the power button. It will do some crazy stuff and start coming on then reboot and load correctly. I had to do this 4 days in a row. Everytime it was after a update. Oh , you can move though the bootloader menu by pressing the volume key to which one you want, then press power button. Got a old phone you don't use. Play around with it.
