Took a 115 mile round trip today. Foothills Parkway, to me, is a much more enjoyable ride than the Dragon.
I love my V7! It’s the classic roadster that I hoped it would be.

I’ve got a V7. I think these mid weight, mid sized bikes are the future. They do everything well and nothing badly, they are economical and most importantly lovely to ride.

If you find wind blast at speed annoying you might want to try a flyscreen. I wasn't too concerned about it while breaking my '22 Stone in because I did little highway riding during that period. But I installed a Dart Marlin screen just prior to taking it in for the break in maintenance and was really glad I did. Now that I'm able to let it rip it makes highway speeds many magnitudes more enjoyable.

Fantastic review, thank you. I've recently bought a new V7 850 Stone in yellow and am awaiting delivery, it'll be my third Guzzi after my current V7 ii and Breva 750.

@@Victor-vf1fi Hey Victor, I've had the bike a little over a year now and have done about 3k miles including a long ride to Cornwall from Northamptonshire and back. The bike has been excellent, the fuelling wasn't great initially but this was corrected on its first service by the dealership uploading the latest ECU map. I absolutely love riding it and enjoy looking at it when parked up. I hope you get on as well with yours as I have.

Tail of the dragon is nice but short ., I love to ride once a year the famous Arizona Devil's Highway formerly know as Route 666 now is Hwy 191 or well know as the Coronado trail from Morenci to Alpine. this is motorcycle heaven with passes over 9k feet of altitude, is around 95 miles long with around 435 curves. Very desolated no traffic at all and I never see any law enforcement officers at all. There is no traffic barely to none only local Ranchers.This part is located in the white Mountains the highest part of Arizona., the road runs close to the New Mexico border. The only thing you have to be really careful is all the wild life that lives there like Bears, Deer, Elks ,Wolf etc etc., Not recommended in the Winter. late April till mid October is better. Usually bikers due the loop crossing to New Mexico and go down on NM Hwy 180.

I would love to ride out west sometime. I have driven i40 to California and back several times, but it would be great to take the bike and explore the types of roads you just described. Thanks for stopping by! I really do appreciate it.

I live in Murphy, NC. I rode up to Knox and rode 2 of the V7 Stone's. As soon as I can sell my Triumph T120 I will be bringing one home. Also just sold my 72 850 Eldorado.

@@terryross6070 Nothing wrong with that. Heck, the 2 reasons I like the Guzzi over my Street Twin (which was a GREAT bike!) are the lack of radiator and lack of chain. We like what we like, right? I know that liquid cooling gives more power and in some cases more reliability; but when I look at a bike now and see that big radiator out front it just takes something away from the beauty of the machine. The SV650 would be a MUCH better looking bike without that ugly radiator 🤨

Funny timing. I believe I have a leak in one of my rear shocks at 1200 miles 😑 But I’ll take that over engine or shaft problems. I have a 2 yr warranty so hopefully it covers it.

Seem like a lovely day! Spring is soon here in Sweden and im bikeless, previously had a 2020 HD FatBob but now im in the market for a modern retro, cant really decide between the 2022 Guzzi V7 or a Kawasaki W800. Hows the Guzzi been reliability wise?
@ClearBrookExotics
@ClearBrookExotics 2 жыл бұрын
I’ve only had it a week, my friend. I also looked at the Kawasaki and chose the Guzzi. I believe it is a higher quality bike. But either will be a great choice for you.

I have a 2021 Moto Guzzi V7 Special which I just took in for its first service. Anyway I think the mpg in these reads a bit high. I was showing about 61 mpg on mine (mostly city riding) and then when I filled up, I calculated 46. My theory is. . .I think that it is calculating in British imperial gallons (U.S. gallons x 1.2) which would make sense since it is made "over there"
@ClearBrookExotics

Bought a 2021 Moto Guzzi V7 Centenario back in November, put around 200 miles on it before I put it in heated winter storage. Dying to get it back out. Upstate NY still has a little winter left though. How did it feel on the technical Tail of the Dragon turns?

I took them slowly, so it was fine. I wouldn’t want to push it like I would on a sport bike, for sure. I thoroughly enjoyed it on the long sweeping roads. Hope you get out soon, my friend!

A Moto Guzzi V7 has been on my short list for years, especially now with this iteration. I test rode one of these a few days ago. Forgot my earplugs and my ears are still ringing. I already had tinnitus before the ride and now quite a bit worse. Earplugs do not fit me well so even had custom molds made at an audiologist and I've tried some pricey helmets so I'm curious if you think wind noise wise this bike is worse than others you have experience with?
@ClearBrookExotics

I would put it on par with my triumph Bonneville Street twin. I definitely would not take this on a three hour interstate ride unless I put a windshield on it.

Don’t mean to hijack the thread but I’ve got the same issue with tinnitus. Trying all kinds of earplugs with varying success or not. Always fussy to get them in. One ear is always problematic. Anyhow, today I tried using my Noise canceling Bluetooth earbuds and it’s the best result yet. Even with no music playing it’s almost hard to know when to shift gears. You might want to try that.

If you aren’t traveling freeway speeds, I think you’ll be OK. I was good today while taking breaks. Had I had more time I would’ve taken more and it would’ve been even better. 70 mph will be very taxing.

Up to 65 mph is great. Wind blast at higher speeds is tiring with no windscreen
