Awesome video, again! I've been watching your channel for about a year now and you are just constantly upping your game, somehow the content just gets better and better, when I think you've reached a pinnacle of awesomeness you come out with some other kind of content that takes it to another level. Inspiring stuff, well done.

Love all your videos guys, my friend just upgraded from a '09 KTM 250 SX to a much newer one so being the good friend I am I bought his old bike. Bought myself some tech 7s and body armour, knee braces etc. I've done my first practice day up at our MX track after about 20 minutes of riding it on a tiny circle track about 3 months ago and falling off and bruising some ribs :D Man this has to be the most physically demanding sport in the world! I loved it though, fell off about 5 times with 1 sort of big one, ate some dirt but got back on and can't wait for the next practice day :)

Tyler buddy! Always nice to see you. @1:20 in the video. What is the word motocross? I am so glad you discussed this. In interviews so many top pros mispronounce it. They say "MOTOR-cross" not "MOTO-cross" They do not even know the name of their own sport. Yes it is MOTO not MOTOR. (sorry but you mispronounced MOTO-cyclette as MOTOR-cyclette). If I may point out to those not familiar with the sport that "MX" and "moto-X" are short for Motocross as well. Maybe you could make a video glossary of all the terms we hear, whip, scrub, endo, case, whiskey throttle etc. Best of luck with the channel, always love your videos!

yes, very brief. it might be helpful to talk about the fact that up until the early 1960's all offroad bikes were really converted street bikes. Enter the light weight bike 2 stroke bikes that were purpose built. All of which were European built. in the late 60's Japan joined the fun, hiring the best European riders to race and develop their bikes. This changed everything.

I have always wanted to do motocross since I was 5 (I'm 12 turning 13) my parents won't get me one for Christmas or my birthday they always make excuses like they don't have time or a bike won't fit into the car but they are all lies because my dad has 8ft long rc planes and he puts like 3 of them in the car he also puts mtb's in the car and they do have time they're is a local track that is open on a Sunday for non members I have told them about it and none of them work on a Sunday well my mum does but it would be my dad who would take me so it wouldn't even matter anything that would me to convince them? btw I live in the UK.

W.E.A.K. story at best -- *Edison Dye* imported or inspired Husqvarna 2T dirtbikes into American in the early 60s. These bikes dominated plus started motocross dirt bike racing. The ama did nothing but kiss butt the japanese brands in the following yrs ...

Just what the internet told us, we know just as well as you do that it’s not always right. But when you’re not old as dirt you can’t do anything but rely on info from the internet... sorry 🤷🏼‍♂️ Tyler

@@TheMxFactory No big deal and don't sweat it but us old dirt-guys do remember things from the past and then often see it re-told in a way that is whitewashed into some sweet little fairly tale story. -- The ama actually drove Mr. Dye out of the racing business. Then they proceeded through the yrs to set up their series to benefit Japanese brands only and push the other smaller EU brands out. Had to be a huge cash-grab for the ama. -- There is a reason we have the *Edison Dye Motocross Lifetime Achievement Award* and it has nothing to do with the motocross\dirt bike riding that is promoted today. -- Feel free to educate\enlighten yourselves by watching this link. www.worldvetmx.com/edison-dye-mx-lifetime-achievement-award
