In this video I travel to Austin, TX for MotoGP. The day after the race we did a track day on Circuit Of The Americas (COTA). I was able to take my Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 and BMW M1000rr on the track and compare the differences between the two. I also go the opportunity to ride with a MotoGP rider (Miguel Olivera) which was fun.

Not only early, inconsistent as well. I think at around 13 minutes he hit an apex somewhere. I haven't seen this bad parade riding anywhere zver, no clue whats happening there. Is it a states thing or what? En then getting promoted to the A class? I reeeeeeaally don't get it

@@FastLaneD Damn! I thought they fixed the bumps earlier this year. Ridesmart rescheduled a track school in February because of track maintenance by COTA. I had to reschedule for the September event.

Love the track day videos man. You look pretty uncomfortable leaning your bikes over, but that's what the track is for, glad you're using them for what they were intended. You'll change your opinion on the BMW the more you use it on track, it's far better than you give it credit, just need more practice.

Looking really good out there mate! I know a lot of people think the highway pulls can be squidy but you honestly looked like one of the only guys who was comfortable taking the bike to the limit on the straights, goes to show that all kinds of riding can be good practice and bring value to the track. Looking good. Down shifts were really smooth and throughout the vid you picked up the race line. Really dig the track day vids. I just did my suspension on my M, and it helped a lot. We’re you having issues with your rear shock when the video was taken?

Miguel is so smooth and waste no time in corners. if it was me I would try to ride with him and follow his lines. maybe setup track days with him. You will not blow so many corners. you improve your skills by watching and if you watch a motogp pro you will get better vision of the lines through the corners. best video yet..anybody can roll race with a good bike, but a good rider can race with a less than perfect bike..love the footage , very good editing

the orange color on the ducatis is the actual color the MotoGP bikes were a few years back so they would look red on TV. I have seen Stoners bike at the Ducati museum in Bologna (anyone watching this would LOVE it worth the trip) and it’s that color.

@@bobjohnson2920 If TT riders are at another level, why aren’t they all making millions as the top motoGP riders?.. they are not better riders, they simply know one track better than anyone. The difference is that they have every second of that track committed to memory. They know every single nuance of that track, where they can push it, gain time and where they need to be at every point. On any other track a GP rider would leave them behind.

Crazy how he was saying the bmw didn’t feel as good as the duck. But on my screen it looked like he went significantly faster on the bmw than he did the duk as far as lap times. I personally prefer the contenting style of i4 over v4 but what do I know.

Would be curious about what configuration changes you made/didn’t make in the Modes on the MKR? Your comment about the AbS leads me to believe you’re running a pretty “stock” config setup. Switch to Race Pro mode, configurations, then go through each subsection to “tune” to your preferred settings. You can setup Race1, Race2 etc with variations on the settings to switch rapidly to help fine tune to your prefs. You may still prefer the V4S, (who wouldn’t also love that bike!?) but you might find more comfort and confidence on the BMW doing the above. I can tell you from personal experience, tuning the setups make the bike a COMPLETELY different animal.

I think you do need to play with your Race Pro modes and your DTC settings. True we don't have the dynamic suspension... I feel like we both need a pro to dial those in for us. The default settings may not be suitable for our body types... but good enough on the road.

You were so much better on the BMW. On the Ducati I was thinking you didn't know how to ride at all, but I stand corrected after seeing you on the BMW.
