Stoner was a beast on that Ducati. Every season he rode it he had won a race, even in 2010 before Rossi took over. Seeing other greats like Rossi, Capirossi, Melandri, Hayden, Checa, Gibernau, Elias who were all GP winners/champs but not able to ride the Ducati the way Stoner did speaks a lot about Stoner's talent and skill. Ducati is still the best straight line weapon in GP, but no one has made it dance and slide and wrestled it like Stoner did.

Stoner was always quick. I saw him racing in the UK before and there was just something you could feel from it. That earlier ducati was pretty good too. I'm pretty sure Capirossi would have been a title favourite had Gibernau not destroyed him with heavy injuries. Even Bayliss won on it as a one off wildcard. The combination of that early Ducati and Stoner was so fast, just a shame Ducati were too ignorant towards rider comments when the bike was getting worse, even when Rossi and Burgess were there

Beautiful rivalry. Would love to see both if these riders on the Gp21 bike from Ducati to see how the modern Era would have gone for them. At the time they both experienced the Ducatis, the bike was the most difficult on the grid to ride in general, let alone quickly. Amazing and over too soon.

To give some context, the 2007 Ducati was a 'straight monster' with tons of other issues tho... Capirossi arrived 7th in that championship with Casey's bike, while the other Ducatis were even lower in the rankings at the end of the season. It's not like he dominated thanks to the bike, it was the other way around.

Some Rossi fans are absolutely delusional. Look at all the comments claiming the Ducati was a better bike 😂. Ducati has ONE riders championship.....ONE and it was Casey. 100% STPbasss………….. the Ducati has always and still does pass all the other bikes on the straights but still no one has been able to win a championship on it apart from Stoner. It was because of the bike. It's not because the bike is better but because it was suitable with Casey's riding style. It's not because he was better. @@googleanassundala5912 stop treating him like a god ??? Ha ha ha ha, no one was treating anyone like a god. You’ve got no idea what your talking about. If what you say is right than both Stoner and Rossi won a world championship on a Honda so their riding styles must be similar in some ways according to your theory yet Rossi went backwards when he was riding the Ducati. All the other MotoGP riders from the 2007 season all said they don’t know how Stoner won the 2007 championship on the Ducati and I’m pretty sure their comments are a lot more valid than your comments. Your right, Stoner didn’t win a 125cc or 250cc championship but he wasn’t riding anything that gave him a chance to u line the Ducati so again your comments are irrelevant. I’m not making Stoner out to be a god at all but if people want to comment with their opinions and interpretations instead of the facts than they’ll always get a reply comment back. You could put all the top riders ( Rossi, Stoner, Marquez )on the best bikes and it would be close between them all as it has already been proven over the last 2 decades but only one person has stood out and had the skill no one wise had to win consistently and a championship on a bike that was far from being the best and that was Stoner. *Check out the Ben Spies interview about all the riders he raced in MotoGP, Ben explains it the best !!!

yup & to be quite honest, the way he acted recklessly while racing (I get it, you want to win & will win at all costs) & the way Rossi fans spat on Stoner, boo’d him, would try to yank him & his wife off the scooter, literally made it all so enjoyable to watch Stoner finally put his foot down & stop “being nice.”

Fiat Yamaha didn't have enough power to compete with Ducati in those years. If it wasn't because of skill and talent, Rossi wouldn't even be that close to Stoner.

To me speed doesnt matter the matter is how you able to catch up Cornering is the important thing whether you notice which is better

@@frankcoguidaben7554 if you just watch the video again, it does matter. Rossi did overtake in corners only to be easily overtaken again in straight lines. If your logic is true then they should just merge moto2, moto3 and motogp since speed doesn't matter.

@@googleanassundala5912 you dont understand the logic here speed is important yes but it its really depends on the cornering that will decide if your good at im not saying speed is not important its really how good are you at a race

@@googleanassundala5912 Do you know why he overtook in the corners in the first place? Cause he had the best bike for corners in the grid, if speed mattered so much this would be a drag race, there are 20 laps in a lap and only 2 to 3 straights max, your comment is the BS of the century.

The only way to compare Rossi and Stoner is when they both rode a Ducati. Ducati -stoner 4yrs, 68 starts,23wins 33% of the time he won,42 podiums,65% he was on the podium, 21 poles 30% he was on pole and 1 world Champioship. Rossi 2 yrs, 27 starts, no wins,3 podiums no poles. On a Ducati Casey was the GOAT by a very very big margin, on the best factory bikes in the world Rossi was the Goat, except when Casey rode a Honda.

Not gonna lie Rossi should have quitted MotoGP many years ago. Greed himself to reach his 10th trophy and delaying his own retirement. Only to take 0 cups between 2011-2022. Not completely his fault, though. Bro is an icon of an entire sport, which basically drives MotoGP sales, and Dorna milked the hell out of him.
