850cc Motogp won't be 1,5 sec slower... Just a quick reminder: 800cc was not slower than 990cc, because they were faster in the corners.

They are slowing the engine because it's too fast and electric devices are doing most of riders work. Removing ride height devices, and limiting other electric support for 1000cc with aero make it unrideable. They want to see actions on track and not in the pits. And so do we.

They've already said that WSBK will not be faster than MOTOGP. They will make sure of that.

So the only way to prevent the Superbikes ( WSBK ) from being Faster than MotoGP is to purposely Slowing down the Superbikes. So how about you look into stare into your Magic-Ball & tell us how that is gonna happen ? Because as of TODAY ... MotoGP which overall has the Better / Faster riders is only ( 2 - 3 seconds ) -per- Lap Faster. That is with today's ( 1000cc ) engines AND the recent Aero-Technology that MotoGP is Ditching and WSBK is NOT ? Hmmm ... ? I bet this is a tough one for ya ?
